FOR THE CORRECT INSTALLATION OF LASTRA 20mm ONTO
GRASS OR GROUND, SUCH AS WITH PATHWAYS, IT IS ALWAYS
RECOMMENDED TO CHECK THAT THE FOOT PLAN IS AT
THE SAME LEVEL OF THE GRASS. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
FOR THE CORRECT INSTALLATION OF LASTRA 20mm
ONTO SAND, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO FOLLOW THE
INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
1. PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE
Prepare a sand substrate of at least 5-10cm.
Level off the layer using suitable tools;
1. PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE
Remove as much of the grass as possible from the area
where the slabs are to be placed and wet the ground;
2. INSTALLATION OF SLABS
Place the slabs in accordance with your desired installation
pattern and beat the surface using a white rubber/PVC
hammer to make them adhere to the support;
2. INSTALLATION OF SLABS
Place the slabs in accordance with your desired installation
pattern and beat the surface using a white rubber/PVC
hammer to make them adhere to the support;
3. JOINTS
It is recommended to place the slabs leaving at least 2cm
between each one.
3. JOINTS
It is recommended to place the slabs leaving at
least 2cm between each one.
To increase the stability, it is recommended to:
1. Dig the substrate for 5-6cm;
2. Fill with a gravel layer with 4-8mm granulometry;
3. Compact the substrate before installation.

Prepare a layer of 10cm made up of gravel and pebbles with
16-35mm granulometry to allow for the drainage of rain water.
In order to avoid possible breakages of the floor, compact and
level off the substrate with a minimum inclination of 2%;
2. BASE INSTALLATION
Create the installation bed made up of gravel with 4-8mm
granulometry for a thickness of at least 2-3cm and level it off;

INSTALLATION
RAISED INSTALLATION
FOR THE CORRECT ADHESIVE INSTALLATION OF
LASTRA 20mm, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO FOLLOW THE
INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
FOR THE CORRECT RAISED INSTALLATION OF LASTRA 20mm,
IN CASE OF FLAT SURFACES, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
1. PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE
Prepare a layer of 10cm made up gravel and pebbles
with 16-35mm granulometry. Carry out a concrete bed
with minimum thickness of 15-20cm and minimum
inclination of 2%;
1. PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE AND
INSTALLATION BED
Prepare a screed with inclination of 2% above the floor and
apply a water-proofing layer to it. Spread a draining sheath
allowing for the correct drainage of rain water checking its
steadiness to bear loads and stresses undergone by the floor;
2. BASE INSTALLATION
Spread a reinforcement bed of at least 5cm with
electro-welded net at 2/3 of the thickness if necessary;
2. INSTALLATION OF POLYPROPYLENE SUPPORTS
Place the supports directly onto the draining layer following
the instructions of page 104;
3. INSTALLATION OF SLABS
Install the slabs with the double spreading method
and using deformable cement-based premium adhesives
(class C2S2 in compliance with EN 12004);
//
3. JOINTS
The joint between tiles is defined by the thickness of spacers
at the top of the supports and is equal to 3mm.
4. JOINTS
It is recommended to place the slabs leaving a joint of at
least 5mm between each one using cement-based premium
mortars (class CG2 in compliance with EN 13888);
Installation, removal and handling of tiles for
the raised installation can be carried out using
the suitable metal handle.
5. EXPANSION JOINTS
Every 9-16 m² and depending on the size and shape of the
floor, introduce expansion joints of 5mm minimum width.

_ INFORMATION ABOUT INSTALLATION METHODS
SIZE 60x60 – 20mm THICKNESS
For the raised installation of 60x60 slabs in 20mm thickness a maximum raise of the foot plan of 10cm is recommended.
It is possible to install 60x60 slabs in 20mm thickness at a greater raise than 10cm via the application of a double glass fibre net or a galvanised steel
sheet to the back of the tile, this allows for raises up to 30cm.
SIZE 45×90 – 20mm THICKNESS
The 45×90 size in 20mm thickness is suitable for installation onto cement footing, gravel, sand, grass or supports up to a maximum raise of 2cm and using
6 supports per slab in order to uniformly distribute loads on the foot plan. For raises ranging from 2 to 30cm it is necessary to apply a double fibre net or
a galvanised steel sheet to the back of the tile.
