What’s the Climate Like?
Mexico has different
geographical features.Most of
Mexico is tropical but at the
tops of mountains and around
mountains it is very cold and
snowy. Mexico covers 761,600
square miles. Mexico has two
mountain ranges – the Eastern
and Western Sierra Madres.
Sierra Madres means (Mother
Mountain). These mountains cover
80 percent of Mexico in the
shape of the letter Y. Do you
want to visit Mexico?

with Spain. The Day Of Dead
is to remember passed loved
ones. They celebrate Easter
and many more holidays! A lot
Mexican people are Roman
Catholic. Do you want to

Mexico’s Topography
Mexico’s land has a lot of semi-deserts, forests,
mountains and tropical lands . Mexico has 19,293 miles of
railroad! Mexico has only two peninsulas. The Baja California
peninsula is on Mexico’s western coast. It is almost 800
miles long! That makes it one of the longest peninsulas in the
world! Most of the Baja peninsula is covered by desert.
Popocatepetl is a volcano in southeast Mexico near Mexico’s
capital city. It is 17,888 feet high! Popocatepetl has erupted
at least 36 times. It was dormant for hundreds of years.
Another famous volcano is the Paricutin volcano. On
February 20,1943, Paricutin appeared as a crack in a
farmer’s cornfield. Then a volcano cone appeared! Mexico
has amazing topography!
