the number of items in an array (group) up to 10.

RISING 1st Grade Students

Splat! by Rob Scotton. For optional, additional reading,
read other books in the Splat the Cat series.
MATH - Identify numbers 0-30. Write numbers 0-20.
Ability to build number combinations 0-10 with
manipulatives.
RISING 2nd Grade Students
READING - Please read Flat Stanley: His Original
Adventure by Jeff Brown.
MATH - Mastery and automatic recall of all addition
facts 0-18, up to 9 + 9 = 18.
RISING 3rd Grade Students
READING - Please read Gooseberry Park by
Cynthia Rylant.
MATH - Mastery and automatic recall of subtraction
facts up to 20. Students should know their 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s,
5s and 10s for multiplication facts.

Summer months are perfect for students to dedicate
some time to reading and reviewing skills they have acquired
during the school year.
