These lessons provide students with minds-on, hands-on experiences including interactions with exceptional books, participation in unique games and activities, viewing and touching mounted specimens and listening to animal voices. We close with the sharing of a simple craft ! ANIMALS OF THE NIGHT Nocturnal animals live all around us. Specially adapted to wander, and hunt during the night, we often do not see them. Introduces students to local animals - the skunk, bat, and fox who are busiest at night! Dinosaur behavior and habitat take center stage as we examine life-like models, and a fossil footprint which was made 250 million years ago! A bit of geography and geology are carefully woven into this lesson as we introduce the residents of the Arctic and Antarctic regions.
