Once upon a midnight dreary, while I slumber ,still and weary,
I woke to see the sight of a man pondering
over a volume of forgotten lore,
thinking of a woman named ‘Lenore’.-
The man was awoken by something at my door; then the man
opened it and whispered, whispered the word “Lenore”
the man turns back and heard a tap louder than before
He opened the window just a crack and heard the a bird flap; flap into
the chamber, the bird landed on my bust just to repeat “Nevermore”
furiously the man was ranting
then the bird replied “Nevermore”
On and on the man was banting
even if he tried he couldn’t stop ranting
for he was mad over the loss of his “Lenore”
and every time the raven replied “Nevermore.”
