Food waste is increasingly the focus of attention for those that are seeking to increase
their diversion. Without managing food waste, it is impossible to achieve the very highest
diversion goals. But how does one know how to start a food waste management program?
Learn about what food waste is, how to target it, and how to divert it from waste.

2:30 PM – 3:40 PM: Plastic – Market Updates and Packaging Evolution
Plastic recyclables are one of the most important revenue streams for recycling programs
even though the markets have softened, but oil prices are up, possibly signaling an uptick
in market. However, the packaging revolution has created increasingly numerous varieties
of packaging materials which dilutes the ability of recyclers to be able to handle this
material. In this session, find out what we can do about it.
