Executive Summary Indonesia is located on Pacific Ring of Fire with a lot of tectonic activity. That statement mean Indonesia has to cope with risks of volcanic eruptions, earthquake, floods, and tsunami. Indonesia made global headlines this past 15 years mostly because of its catastrophic and devastating natural disasters that resulted in the deaths of thousands human and animal, plus having a destructive effect on every sector including infrastructure and thus resulting in economic costs. Based on that problem, we need real problem-solving system to prevent the tragic and damaging loss that caused by the natural disaster. So, we made a system that we called Beep. to solve it. Beep. is an easy-to-applied, economicfriendly, compatible with all devices, and covering all natural disaster’s information. It combines data-sender system with high-technology devices and people also can install the applications in their smartphone. Furthermore, this system not only available for smartphone, lower-class society can use it on their no-internet phone by receiving data from server with SMS (Short Message Service). Therefore, the system can applied to all kind of societies from any countries. applicable, and successful. After the distribution and observation of the product, we will expand distribution outside Asia Pacific, like India and Sri Lanka. For producing and installing Beep. we would hire high-quality engineer who knows how to create server and controlling them. Installation mechanic and workers will handle the installations at home and relay stations in certain area. The engineer would also update the system if the situations need to be changed. Product and design description This device dimension is 0,11x0,11x0,11 m. In the front side, there is a slot to plug the power and a switch 3 pin for a place to choose the power. In the right side, there is a slot for program input. In the left side there is a output slot towards speaker. In the back side, there is 4 bolts for installation in the relay station. Technology Beep system will reduce the loss after natural disaster not only material but also importantly human casualities. There are three parts of this system, first mobile application that warns the people about the danger and inform the safety procedure. This warning could be sended via SMS and Internet. Then we place a sensor inside a relay station, this would shut the electricity down and turn on the alarm, we also place a sensor inside the house so it would warn the rescue team about the disaster. So this is how it works. Before the disaster occur, people get warned about the disaster from BMKG through the apps via SMS and Internet. And then people will get information about what they should do. Then, the relay station will turn on the alarm and minutes later the electricity will shut down so the electricity won’t cause a fire. After the disaster happened, the house transmitter will inform the rescue unit about the damage that happened. This sensor will show in the map so the rescue units know how bad the damage is. People will know this system through socialization program by government using website, social media and newspaper so everyone has this system. Operation On the first year, this product will piloted to developing country in the Asia Pacific region. We will begin the distribution to Indonesia and Philippines. We choose Indonesia and Philippines because those country as archipelago state have high risk of natural disaster. Pioneering in these countries allow us to prove whether efficient, The Market Our market is aimed to country that has high risks of natural disasters, like Indonesia, China, Thailand, India, Philippines, and other develop country. Those country will be our target of marketing because they have similarity. They are frequently experiencing catastrophic natural disaster that caused huge disadvantages for the peoples and the system that currently used is not effective. Promotion and Marketing Strategy Our company promotion strategy are publicity, direct marketing, sales promotion and advertising. For publicity strategy, we made commercial news about our product in a few international TV channels, like CNN News and BBC. The direct marketing of our product consist of social media like facebook, twitter and instagram. We also made website to explain about our system and service. Our sales promotion target are the governments especially the central governments of developing country. From this sales promotion, the government can promote and applied the product to the society of the country. Local newspaper in every developing country will be the media for advertising the product. Competitive Advantage Beep as a warning alarm covering all the natural disasters that can happen. Some of natural disasters that occurly happen are earthquake, volcano erruptions, and tsunami. Our system can detected and giving information about those natural disasters. Beep also easy to access because compatible with all devices. People just have to download the application on Google Playstore or any AppStore. From the application, people can access warning and self-rescue procedure. In developing country, it is hard to reach the people who lived isolated from outside world because they could not access the information. This system will reach the isolated location, and sending information through Short Message Service (SMS) from their provider.
