CADIUM 2012 Product Sheet
CADIUM 2012 is a very powerful product when you
want to automate your scripting or make changes to
your title blocks.There is no need to have AutoCAD
installed for you to be able to edit attributes in your
drawings!
Changing the document status of the design drawings, can be
a very time-consuming and monotone operation – hundreds
of drawings need to be opened, changed and resaved in
AutoCAD. With CADIUM 2012, AEC has developed
a powerful and time-saving tool that makes your work
significantly easier!
Change Attributes in Title Blocks
In just a few steps, the editing tools allow you to change
your title block attributes in all layouts of your drawings. For
instance, change document status from For Construction to
As Built, and copy the status to all the other title blocks in
the attributes list.The Paste Series Downwards functionality
updates a trailing number; 001, 002, 003 etc. Change date,
scale information, drawing number etc.
Create Sheet List
The sheet list generator extracts information directly from
the title block and assists you in assuring that the information
is linked to the correct drawing.
• Enter information directly in the preview – name,
project, date etc.
• Select rows that should contain information from your
title block.
• Finally, drag and drop your logotype into the preview,
and click the Create button. An Excel sheet is generated
according to Swedish Standards.
Run Scripts
A script is a list of commands retrieved directly from your
AutoCAD software. CADIUM 2012 supports scripting of
consecutive drawings. Plot multiple drawings or attach xrefs.
The Script Layer Wizard assists in creating a layer script
based on an existing drawing.

CADIUM 2012 new features:
•
Scan all Layouts. It is now possible to edit drawing stamps
in all layouts in your drawings. Optionally you can still limit the
scanning to current layout as in previous versions.

English Version. The software is now available in English.
•
Recover when Scripting. It is sometimes necessary to
recover the drawings to be scripted. There is a new option to
run scripts with Recover instead of Fileopen.

Custom Script Template Folders. If you create custom
scripts, they should of course be easily accessible in CADIUM.
The new release of the software provides functionality to add
paths to the folders where you store your scripts.

New Scripts. The software is delivered with several new
predefined script templates. The script templates have been
categorized to make it easier to find an appropriate template.
Your custom template folders are shown as separate categories.

General Scripts: “Blank Script” is used as a start
of your own scripts, “Zoom” zooms to extents,
“MagiCAD” exemplifies a start to load MagiCAD.

Maintenance: “Maintenance” repairs and compresses
your drawing files, “Edit Scale List” removes excess
scales and resets the scale list, “Units” changes drawing
units to mm, “Detach Xrefs”, “Wblock” wblocks and
saves with a prefix, “Change Text Styles”, “Erase Blocks”,
“Erase Linework” deletes lines, polylines, arcs, circles etc
at specified layer and linetype, “Replace Texts”.

Plot and Export: “eTransmit” prepares a set of
drawings for transmission, “Plot to PDF” plots to a PDF
file, “Export to 2007”.
Layer Management: “Freeze Layers”, “Do not Plot”,
“Layer Wizard” modifies layers based on an existing
drawing.
Save and Open Sheet List Settings. Would you like to reuse
your sheet list settings? Save the settings to a file and open it to
reuse or modify.

Save and Open File List. Do you use the same set of
drawings for several deliveries in your project? Or do you edit
drawing stamps and run scripts using the same drawings? If you
save your file list you can easily access them in all documents.
Add drawings to your document by opening your saved file list.

Block Loading. The block loading has been improved in
CADIUM 2012.
•
Script Layer Wizard. Do you prefer to use the AutoCAD
colors rather than RGB colors? In CADIUM 2012, the Script
Layer Wizard has been updated with AutoCAD colors. The
Script Layer Wizard has been made resizable in order to
improve the overview of the layer settings. Thus, you can see all
settings simultaneously and do not have to scroll sideways.
