Dear Parent/Teacher:
By now, your child has discovered that some of the puzzles in Mathmania™ can be solved quickly,
and some are more challenging. Let your child pick and choose; she’s a super Mathlete even if she
doesn’t complete all the puzzles.
• “ Scrambled Picture,” pages 20–21: These puzzles appear in many Mathmania books. Your child
can “unscramble” the puzzle by copying the images in the rectangles on the left page into the
correct spaces on the right. Or, she can cut out all of the individual pieces given in the work
space on page 37 and rearrange them on the grid until the picture becomes clear.
• “ Special Delivery,” pages 30–31: Suggest that your child trace the stamps and cut them out. Or,
she can use the stamps given in the work space on page 39. Then she can arrange them in the
various combinations of twos and threes that add up to 50 rupees.
