Central Florida Kids Get a Special Preview
of Pandora – The World of Avatar
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., (May 26, 2017) – Nearly 1,500 Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida children were
welcomed by the majestic sight of floating mountains, cascading waterfalls and exotic vistas as they crossed
the bridge into Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom during a special preview just for
them.
During this special sneak peek, children transformed into adventurers. Whether searching for the Na’vi
Shaman of Songs, soaring through the air on the back of a banshee or journeying deep into the Valley of
Mo’ara, these adventurers discovered a world beyond belief.
“As a company, we share a common goal with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida and want to see local
youth reach their full potential,” said George A. Kalogridis, president of Walt Disney World Resort. “By
providing them with this special sneak peek opportunity, we hope the awe-inspiring world of Pandora will
spark a sense of adventure, expand their imagination and solidify a belief that anything is possible.”
As adventurers of all ages walk into the land of Pandora, they are taken on an otherworldly transformative
experience they will never forget. It’s a journey to a distant world where floating mountains defy gravity and
unbelievable sights and experiences await.
Pandora represents a significant milestone in the history of Walt Disney World Resort as the largest expansion
in the history of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Since construction began, more than 1,500 jobs have been
created, including 800 construction roles and 700 operational positions.
