Happy 90th birthday Queen Elizabeth
Green Zone children joined in with the Queen's 90th Birthday
celebrations. On Thursday morning we made birthday cards,
flags, streamers, portraits and cooked scones for Her
Majesty's party in the afternoon. We all had an amazing time
and we also had our photographs taken with the Queen and the Royal
Family. Red Zone enjoyed the celebration by colouring in the Union Jack and
drawing pictures of Queen Elizabeth.
Please see page 3 for more photos.
As we are hopefully getting to the warmer weather, can you please ensure
that your child has adequate protection against the sun. please send
sunscreen in labelled with their with name on and a sunhat. Thank You

G7/8 enjoyed their visit to the local park. We were looking to see what
transport we could find on our journey. This term is all about transport!
Red 1: In Science we have been learning all about melting. Did you know white
chocolate melts faster then dark chocolate?
Red 4: have been cooking French style in Food Technology. The
children watched different kinds of food being made and tried
making their own crepes. Adding strawberries and syrup, they were
delicious!!
Red 8 have enjoyed learning about the life cycle of a frog. We
explored the pond area looking for tadpoles.
Blue 1 : have been using the IPADS to create pic collages and green
screen programming. Follow twitter to see more of our images.
2 Blue: visited Beacon Hill Cafe last week. They chose from a symbol
menu and enjoyed toast, snacks and a drink. They met some of
their old friends from last year and enjoyed their visit.
Blue 4: have been taking part in Roman style games during their
fitness sessions using a ball and a hoop as part of
this term’s theme.
Blue 7 have been learning about different
materials and their properties as part of their
science lessons. This week we investigated which
materials would be best to make a boat. We
experimented with lots of materials to see which
ones were best at floating.
