IDES OF MARCH
The lingering fuel scarcity as well as the harsh economic
climate has led some people to relate this month to the Ides of
March!
What then is the Ides of March all about?
Speakers Corner…is ready for 2016
SPEAKING OF FREE SPEECH……
“Literature is the immortality of
speech.”
August von Schlegel, 1767-1845,
German poet and critic
“Speech is external thought, and
thought internal speech.”
Antoine Rivarol, 1753-1801,
French journalist
Historically, it was culled from Shakespearean times when a
soothsayer's warning to Julius Caesar, "Beware the Ides of
March," has forever imbued that date with a sense of
foreboding. (Wikipedia)
So, with trying times ahead, could we say this March is a sign
of the times to come?

“It is better to debate a question without
settling it than to settle a question
without debating it.”
Joseph Joubert, 1754-1824,
French essayist
“In all intellectual debates, both sides
tend to be correct in what they affirm,
and wrong in what they deny.”
John Stuart Mill, 1806-1873,
British philosopher
