a. ACE Presentation on the scope of their activity and community
relationships in the region
b. What does ACE do in regards to regional principals? Who determines
what programs will take place where?
c. How do the needs of the region get identified? Who is responsible for
this?
d. Profile of activity that occurs in our region (local, regional &
international)
e. What are the assumptions about what gets done at the Nanaimo
Campus and what can get done at other sites?
f.
What is the potential future role of NIC? What would complementary
roles between NIC and VIU look like? What would VIU not have to do?
g. How can regional operations be better coordinated? What is the role
of the regional principal? Who deals with regional operations,
instructional coordination, community interfaces?
h. Draft evaluation and prioritization matrix from Academic Plan – will
this work for Regional locations?

Consideration of endorsement of Talloires Declaration on Civic roles
and Social Responsibility.

How to obtain a comprehensive list of all sites where programs,
practicum’s, co-ops, internships, etc. take place?

