These buildings testify to skilled craftsmanship handed down from one generation to the next. Christoph Henrichsen, art historian, Japanologist and carpenter has made a countrywide documentation of Japan´s woodwork and surviving carpentry. He presents and comments three films, initiated by the Ise Shrine Building Authority, that provide insider information about the cyclical rebuilding of the Ise Shrine.
