Spending Overview 2015 – 2016 - Rhodes Avenue Primary School

Registered Charity No: 1062916
RAPSA would once again like to say a huge THANK YOU to all the parents, carers and staff who have
given their time and energy to help organise and attend RAPSA events. Whilst the primary purpose of
the events is to raise funds for the school, they are also crucial to maintaining cohesion in an expanded
school, encouraging social interaction within and across the years.
FIGURES FOR LAST YEAR (2015/2016)
HOW RAPSA FUNDS WERE SPENT
Current figures show that collectively we raised
£28,242 last year. This figure is made up as follows:
In October last year, RAPSA pledged to raise
£20,000 towards funding the redevelopment of
the infant playground. We are delighted to say
that the school community reached this very
ambitious target – thank you! To further maximise
the parents’ fundraising efforts, the school senior
management is looking into possibilities for match
funding. Currently, the redevelopment of the infant
playground is under consultation and planning.

the AGM. There will also be a general and
financial review of last year’s events.
At the AGM we will be discussing suggestions

RAPSA’S NEW DIGITAL STRATEGY
As busy parents and carers, we want to make sure
that everyone is getting the information they want
about RAPSA and its activities in a way that’s easy
and accessible. Some people prefer emails or
looking on the website, others prefer Facebook or
Twitter. We want to make sure that, whichever way
people choose to stay in touch, they have what they
need, when they need it.
We’d also like to better publicise events and increase
awareness of what we’re fundraising for and how
the funds will be used. The new school website will
be a great opportunity to improve RAPSA’s online
presence and we are also considering the use of
social media including Facebook and Twitter.
For anyone who would like to be involved in
RAPSA’s new digital strategy or has any suggestions
please get in touch with Abigail Rappoport at
[email protected] with the email
subject as RAPSA DIGITAL STRATEGY.
