Flight Four Forum
5th & 6th Grade Families,
It has been a pleasure teaching your
students this year, and we look forward
next year as our 5th graders move up to
become our student leaders.
We’d like to wrap up with a special
congratulation to the following students
who achieved Honors Reader: Ikechi
Elendu, Ayla Bristow, and Jaquelin
Mora. We ended the year with an elite
group of eleven Honors Readers. We
also need to congratulate Alexis Beller
and Seth Brinton for reading over four
million words and Ikechi, Jaquelin,
Chance Bills, and Trinity Valdez for
reading over one million. We ended the
year with 3 four million-word, 2 two
million-word, and an amazing 30 (that
makes a total of 35, well over half the
flight) million-word readers.
The following students made their AR
goals in the last week and deserve to be
recognized: Celine Audin, Ellia Carlson,
Chance Bills, Logan Green, Jesse Burns,
Urijah Kolb, Ayla Bristow, Branden
Koncher, Leo Chapman, Alysia Olson,
Faith Esquibel, Alexis Newland, Caelee
Martinez, Katelyn Coffey, Sam Mock,
Ikechi Elendu, Dustin Largent, Julianna
Huff, Poppy Lightfoot, Alexia Kuretich,
David Lozano, Aspen Lopez, Anthony
Felice, Mercedes Norris, Kelsie Johnson,
Anna Eller, Tao Freeman, and Jaquelin
Mora. We had 52 out of 59 students
achieve their reading goals this quarter.
This year we had twelve students join
the exclusive 50+ club for mastering over
fifty Accelerated Math (AM) objectives.

Three of those twelve mastered over 100,
including a fifth grader who mastered all
157 6th grade AM objectives. These
students with their final objective counts
were Logan Green (157), Harley Ewert
(103), Seth Brinton (100), Jalyn Walker
(75), Alexis Beller (66), Caleb Scroggs (61),
Jade Ellenberger (59), Nicole Jefferis (58),
David Lozano (57), Katya Schwieterman
(55), Carly Horn (54), and Celine Audin
(51).
The last day of school is tomorrow. We
will have an awards assembly at 12 PM,
followed by the 6th grade graduation. After
the graduation, 6th grade parents are invited
to stay and watch a special DVD put
together by Leo’s parents. All students will
be released and busses will be at the
school at 1:20 PM.
End of the year report cards should be
mailed next Tuesday.
