Entire sk etch, including specifics on several children and grandchildren of Hartford Moss Daniel's parents, Issac B. and Elizabeth Lovvorn Daniel, appears to have been submitted by Y. Norman. Hartford Moss Daniel Hartford Moss Daniel, third child of Issac B. Daniel and Elizabeth Lovvorn, was born in October of 1839. He was a farmer in Randolph County, Alabama, and on April 4, 1858, he married Elizabeth J. Williams. Elizabeth was born May 8, 1842. Hartford served in Co. B 5th Battalion of the Alabama Calvary, CSA. Hartford died July 1, 1915 and Elizabeth died February 27, 1917. They are buried in Smyrna Baptist Cemetery, Newell, Alabama. Their children: 1. Issac Elijah, born December 19, 1858 in Lamar, Alabama. About 1877, he married Susan Ester Lee Durrough, daughter of Abasalom G. Durrough and Emiline Dobbs. Susan was born August 1855 in Alabama. They had 11 children, four of whom died as infants. 2. James F. Daniel was born August 19, 1860, at Lamar, Alabama and died in 1908. He married Delia Caldwell (b. 1882, died May 14 (?), 1924). They had 10 children. 3. William J. Daniel, born October 6, 1862, in Lamar, Alabama. 4. John Gabriel, born July 27, 1866, Lamar, Alabama. Died June 11, 1942. Buried in Smyrna Cemetery. He had six children. 5. Thomas Lewis, born August 6, 1868 or 1871, Randolph County, Alabama. Married Amanda Wiggins, daughter of Martin Van Buren and Sarah Wiggins. She was born in 1865 and had 4 or 5 children. She died in 1898 or 1899, and is buried in Campground Cemetery, Graham, Alabama. Their children, raised by grandparents, took the last name of Wiggins. Tom married Sarah J. Benefield, March 1900, and they had one son. He died January 17, 1936 in Oklahoma and is buried in Ethel Cemetery, Antlers, Oklahoma. 6. Elic Newton was born August 6, 1870 in Randolph County, Alabama. He was married around 1892 to Hannah E. who was born September 1870 in Georgia. They had two daughters and resided at Pinehill, Alabama. 7. George W. was born September 14, 1879 in Lamar, Alabama. About 1899, he married Adeline Williams who was born March 24, 1877. They had two children. Both are buried in Pinehill Cemetery. 8. Marion A. Daniel, born November 14, 1883 in Randolph County, Alabama. He married Tiny B. Nolen (born October 13, 1878, died February 1, 1918). They had ____ children. He married Mattie Ashley (born June 9, 1892, died April 29, 1976). They had children. He died in 1974.
