Southern NewHampshire University Articulation Agreement South ern New Hampshire University - College of Online and Continu ing Education and Cochise County Community Co llege District I. PURPOSE Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) and Cochise County Communit y College District (Cochise College), in the spirit of academic cooperation, and in order to faci litate the transfer of graduat es of Cochise College to Southern New Hampshire Un iversity - College of Online and Continuing Education (SNHU-COCE), hereby do enter into an academic articulation agreement. Successfu l implementation of the Agreement is dependent upon communication of its content to all involved participants and th e assumption of respons ibility by both institutions for such communications. The purpose of this Articulation Agreement is to acknowledge that, followi ng completion of an Associate degree at Cochise College, students may transfer a m inimum of 60 credits from the degree to a Southern New Hampshire University Bachelor of Arts in General Studies online, or per the equ ivalency tables, to an undergraduate degree program that coincides with their associate's degree, as long as the following criteria are met. II. TRANSFER PATHWAY(S) 1. As SNHU is regionally accredited, all academic course work in which a student has earn ed a grade of "C-" or higher is fully transfera ble based on the attached course equivalents. Academic course work in which a stud ent has earned a "C-" or better will transfer provided the GPA of transferring coursework is a 2.0 or higher. Up to 90 cred its may be accepted in transfer towa rd a bachelor degree program . Nursing students w ho are ent ering the SNHU RN to BSN program must have successfully completed their Associate Degree in Nursing program with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and have passed t he national NCLEX-RN licensing exam to be unconditionally admitted to th e RN to BSN program. Students with a cumu lative GPA bet ween 2.0 and 2.49 on the degree or diploma awarding transcript may be provisionally accepted and m ust also meet the licensure requirements. 2. Those w ho have not taken a second composition course would have to take ENG 200 upon transfer. (see Append ix 1 for examples) Based on the co urse equivalency tables attached (see Appendix 1), SNHU College of On line and Continuing Education guarantees transferability of all credits outlined in the fo llowing Cochise College - Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC) AGEC - A, AGEC - Band AGEC - S, per the equivalency tables attached, to a Southern New Hampshire University undergraduate degree program that coincides w ith their associate's degree, as long as the fo llowing criteria are met. Arizona - AGEC - A General Education Curriculum to SNHU General Education Core Arizona - AGEC - B General Education Curriculu m to SNHU General Education Core Arizona -AGEC- S General Education Curriculum to SNHU General Education Core 3. Additiona lly, and upon a student's admission to the university, SNHU Co llege of Online and Continuing Ed ucation guarantees transferabi lity of a minimum of 60 credits out lined in any Cochise College Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degrees to the SNHU Bachelor of Arts in General Studies. 4. Students transferring from Cochise College may enroll at SNHU College of Online and Continuing Education as full or part time students. The Bachelor of Arts in General Studies program is only offered online. 5. Military students enrolling at SNHU College of Online and Continuing Education may transfer up to 90 hours for a bachelor's w ith unlimited CLEP, DANTES and Excelsior credits--providing students meet residency requirements. Ill. TERMS 1. Because of this agreement to articulate, and provided the individual identifies Cochise Co llege on his or her application form, eligible graduates, employees and the immediate fam ily of employees (spouses, domestic partners, ch ildren, siblings and parents) will rece ive a ten (10%} percent tuition red uction in Southern New Hampshire University College of Online and Continuing Education, applicable as of the date this Agreement is fully executed by the parties below. In addition, those eligible graduates, employees and immediate fam ily of employees who enro ll in Southern New Hampshire University's online grad uate program will receive a wa iver of the application fee normally requi red by Southern New Hampshire University - Col lege of Online and Continuing Education. Programs offered at mi litary tuition assistance levels are not subj ect to this reduction. Cochise College employees, their fami ly members and graduat es must inform SNHU College of Online and Continuing Education admissions representatives about their affiliation to receive their tuition reduction. SNHU College of Online and Continuing Education may change its t uition rates at any time at its sole discretion and th e reduction will be ca lculated based on the current tuition in effect for th e applicable academic t erm for the enrolled program. Eligible employees and alumni sha ll not be entitled to any other reduction and are subject to all other admission and continuation requirements as set forth in the respective Southern New Hampshire University policies and cata logs. 2. Southern New Hampshire University - Co llege of Online and Continuing Education agrees to provide Cochise College, at their request, an annual update of student enrollment, to include genera l data on how many students have transferred to SNHU Co llege of Online and Continuing Ed ucation. 3. This Agreement is effective as of the date of the fully executed document, and shall continue until terminated. Both parties must approve amendments to the Agreement in writing. Either party may terminate the Agreement without cause upon 90 days written notice to the other party. Notwithstanding the fo regoing, either party may terminate the Agreement immed iately in t he event that participation under the Agreement may give rise to a vio lation of any requirement of federal or st ate law or regulation or the requ irements of any accrediting agency having jurisdiction. 4. Admission criteria, academic requirements, and other admission req uirements w ill be subject to the applicable Catalog at th e time of the students' admission. Students who have begun their SNHU program of study or students in t he process of enrolling prior to the effective date of any w ithout cause termination will be grandfathered in to continue receiving t he discount offered in this Agreement until such time such students complete or discontinu e enrollment in t heir program. 5. Th is Articulation Agreement is based on the current curriculum of both educational institutions. Each institution is responsible for notifying the other of any substantive changes to the curriculum. This agreeme nt shall be reviewed by both institutions annually. 6. The parties grant to each other a non-exclusive, non-t ransferable license to use each other's trademarks and servicemarks in furtherance of the articulation coordination detailed herein or in a manner so lely for the purpose of ide ntifying and communicating the existe nce of the re lationship to Cochise Co llege's students and alumni. The parties shall discontinue the use of the licensed marks and return any and all files and mate rials containing the licensed marks supplied by the owner at t ermination or expiration of the Agreement. Neither party grants to the other any interest in the other party's trademarks. Should either originating institution request, in writing, that a particular use of the originating institution's trademarks and/or servicemarks be discontinued, the non-o riginating institution shall cease and desist such use of the trademarks and/or service marks. 7. Cochise Co llege agrees to notify students of transfer opportunities to SNHU College of Online and Continuing Education, to co llaborate with SNHU Col lege of Online and Continuing Education on other forms of transfer comm unication and to host SNH U representatives on campus for re cruitm ent activities during the academic school year. 8. The parties hereto will have the relationship of independent contractors for all purposes. Each will have complete control over its own performance and the details for accomplishing its own obligations under this Agreement. In no event will the agents, representatives or employees of one party be deemed to be agents, representatives or employees of the other. 9. This Agreement may be executed by a duly authorized representative of each party, either by electronic or facsimi le transm ission, each of which will be considered an original. IV.
