Regasification Vessels (SRV)
Regasification Vessels, are purpose-built LNG tankers that incorporate
onboard equipment for the vaporization of LNG and delivery of high pressure
natural gas.
These vessels load in the same manner as standard LNG tankers at
traditional liquefaction terminals, and also retain the flexibility to discharge in
three distinct ways. These are:
•
as liquid at a conventional LNG receiving terminal,
•
as a gas through the EBRV’s connection with a subsea buoy
in the hull of the ship,
• as a gas through a high pressure gas manifold located
forward of the vessel’s LNG loading arms.

•
An FSRU is a regasification vessel which
Stay on location for continuous delivery
of gas.
Continuously regas LNG and delivery of
high pressure natural gas grid – also
during SBS and STS operations.
Receive LNG from incoming LNGC in
STS transfer operations.
Assisted by Tugs for approach,
departure, manoeuvring and STS
operation.
Dry-dock every 5 years

LNG FPSO
FLEX LNG producer
The LNG Producer (LNGP) developed
by FLEX LNG is a self-propelled
offshore LNG production vessel. It is
designed to pre-treat, liquefy, store
and offload LNG. The feed gas can be
supplied either directly from a natural
gas field, from a wellhead platform, as
associated gas from a nearby oil
FPSO, or from an onshore natural gas
source or pipeline.

Conclusion
•
LNG trade is still growing despite the economical crisis,
but the market will change, mainly due the production of
unconventional gases of USA,
•
There still some projects of On-Shore liquefaction terminals, but
the future development will be offshore.
•
Off-shore regasification terminals provide a quicker and flexible
solution to import LNG in many countries, who are not fitted
with on-shore terminal.
•
Small scale LNG will open new possibilities for the Industry and
will lead to development of new facilities small LNG plants, and
ports bunkering facilities.
