Hello my name is Idalia Uribe. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for sixteen years. We have four beautiful
daughters and two precious granddaughters. I first heard about Birth Choice 19 years ago when I found myself pregnant and
having to deal with the decision of whether I would keep my baby or not. I thank God every day for the Birth Choice activist
at the abortion clinic that day. I don’t remember his name, I don’t remember his face…all I remember are the soft, gentle words
he spoke to me that day, “Don’t do it, there are other options” I was so broken and confused, it was all I needed. Those words
changed my life forever. He drove me from the abortion clinic to the Birth Choice office in Indio. I remember feeling scared
because I would have to raise this second baby alone. The last thing I wanted was to disappoint my parents, again. But deep
down inside I knew abortion was wrong and it wasn’t my baby’s fault I had put myself in this situation. My daughter was born
August 31, 1996. I smile when I think about her because she is quite the character and every time I look at her and see her laugh and talk I
think about how she almost didn't get a chance. I can't picture life without her. It was such a joy to see her grow up. She was always so loveable
and so smart in school. An honor roll student in high school, and she graduated at the top of her class. Children are blessings and even when
we don't think that there’s a way out...God always makes a way. You just got to trust Him! Birth Choice is a vital and necessary part of our
community. I am extremely excited and honored to be able to help young mothers make the right choice and help those who can’t find a way
out, who have no hope and feel abortion is their only

Hello, my name is Gianina Millan. I am
new to the Birth Choice of the Desert
family, and I am very excited to serve
this center. Before becoming a part of
BCD, I was hesitant to take such a
challenge to counsel women who were
considering an abortion. But after studying, training
and watching DVD’S on how abortion is the ending of
an innocent LIFE, I was encouraged to share my
knowledge on abortions. I am glad I decided to give it
a try. It is very rewarding helping the women of our
community.

On December 18th of 2014 we stood on the sidewalk by our
school, La Quinta High School, to pass out

flyers to our peers. We did this with a hope
of letting everyone know that Birth Choice
of the Desert is here and ready to help.
Passing out flyers to everyone that passed by
and saying “Take it, read it, and if you don’t
need it pass it on to someone who might,’ was
a very interesting experience. You would think that most people would
see it and not even care about it, but we did not see one flyer thrown
on the ground that day, and as they left it seemed to us like they
were actually reading the flyer. The flyer clearly states who we are, what we do and how
we do it. It is beautifully designed with our school colors to let the student body know we
are directly addressing them and are here for them. The outcome to this project has not
been seen yet, as no one has come to the Center by seeing our flyers. But, we are very
satisfied with knowing that at least if someone needed our help it would be known that the
loving staff at Birth Choice is here to help.

The young woman desperately searching the internet for help
with her unexpected pregnancy is presented with many
choices. Her google search under “abortion” “pregnancy
help” will list many options. Near the very top of that list, on
the first page, she will see "Birth Choice of the Desert". One
click and she is there. At her fingertips are vital information,
directions to our office and a phone number to call or text
24/7. At this point her choices are obscured by fear. The
calm, loving voice or text response reaches her at this darkest
point of crisis. Our compassionate volunteer provides
thoughtful clarity. Alternatives are examined
carefully. Resources are offered to assist with parenting or
adoption. Most importantly the young mother knows that she
is not alone. Birth Choice is the “voice of love” so that hers
can be “a choice for life”. Thank you for your continued
