Number of players: 4 or 5
Materials:
• game grid
• 24 playing cards
Directions:
1. Place the clue cards facedown on the game grid in piles under these
categories: vis/vid and scrib/script. Randomly label the back of the twelve
vis/vid and scrib/script cards in the following values: 50, 100, 150, 200, 250,
300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 550, and 600.

2. Decide which player is the game host. The host places the clue cards
facedown in order from lowest to highest on the game grid beneath the
appropriate headings. Players decide who goes first.
3. The first player picks a category and an amount for the host to read (for
example, “I’ll take vis/vid for 50”). Without showing the player the card, the
host reads the clue, and the player gives an answer, phrasing it in the form
of a question, and spells the word. For example,
Host: “Sense of sight”
Player: “What is vision? V-i-s-i-o-n.”
4. The player receives the card if the answer is correct. The player then
chooses another clue card. A player may take only two consecutive turns.
If the player answers incorrectly, the player to his or her left may answer. If
no one can answer, the card is put into a discard pile.
5. Play continues around the circle clockwise until all the clue cards have been
read and won or put into the discard pile. Players count their points. The
player with the most points wins the game.
