I
would like to take time and welcome you to the Fourth
Annual Foxy Ladies Female Sale. I can’t believe that
another year as come and gone and here we go again. I am
very excited about our sale and the offering that we have
assembled. I know every year we try to make the cattle better and I
can honestly say this is the deepest and highest quality that we have
sold. It’s no secret that the cattle industry is not where it has been the
last few years but I do know that the good ones still sell well, and have
held their value and are maybe even worth more than they have in the
past. We don’t have as many numbers like in the past but we wanted
to keep the quality better so everybody has enough genetic potential
to raise that next great one or improve their herds. Something new
this year is we are offering an elite set of show heifers that will work for
anybody on all levels, we also are opening the gates and are offering
flushes on three of our elite donor cows that just flat out get it done.

This year great friends of mine, Roberts Simmentals and Western
Cattle Source, are guest consigners and they truly brought me a great
set of cattle to offer for sale. I believe in these guys and their cattle
operations because this is their lively hoods and have been in the
business for years. My dad also holds these guys fully accountable
for getting me started with Simmental cattle twenty years ago;
I know he never would have dreamed what their influence would
have done for me and how our operation has changed over time.

by a licensed Veterinarian. The buyer has within 21
days following the sale to re-pregnancy test their
purchases. If any animals are found open within
those 21 days you must notify sale management

breeding information will be available on a
supplement sheet sale day, this sheet will take
precedence over statements in the sale catalog.

his is a little change of pace here, but I don’t care what breed she
is. She is one of the best Charolais cows I have seen and when you
pull into our place everybody notices her and asks what is she?
Everybody has a Firewater cow, but this is not just another Firewater
cow, she goes back to Danny Sullivan’s great Sasha cow. When my hired man
came to work for me a couple years ago, I knew he had this cow and I actually
tried buying a calf or two out of her. Well since I am a tight a----, I didn’t buy
either one and her calf went on to be champion Charolais at the State Fair.
She sold and is living in Washington State and did a lot of winning there as
well. I finally convinced him to flush her to Monopoly and it was a home run.
Last year we had seven calves that averaged right at $7,500 and one went
on to be a Denver reserve champion as a calf. The steers did some winning
in Nebraska and Illinois. Sasha is one impressive animal. She is so stout,
massive and her structure is second to none. Get on board here---Sasha is
open and ready to flush. Selling a flush with a guarantee of six eggs, and split
any over six. She had averaged 11 eggs a flush.

James calls and says, would you guys be interested in selling
a flush on these two cows? It took a lot of convincing from him
to get us to do this. We purchased the Sierra cow from Kenner
Simmentals as an open heifer and she has never disappointed us.
She is by the Hummer bull and out of the great Kayla cow. Sierra has produced
numerous herd bulls for us and her daughters seem to be at the top end every
year. She produced the WCS Pendleton 909W bull for us that has sired WCS
Mr Husker and WCS Deadwood that are in the Werning Simmental program
and many more females and bulls for us. The Pendleton X Sierra mating also
made WCS Mr. Razor that is a lead herdsire for Reimer Simmentals. His full
brother, WCS Last Call went to work for Quandt Brothers and Travis Thompson
In North Dakota. We sold a daughter to Sys Simmentals and another one is in
Ryan Herm’s program. Her most recent calf, WCS El Dorado, sold to Accelerated
Genetics and Hart Farms. He was the lead off bull in our 2016 Res Champion
Pen of 5 at NWSS. Plus we kept her son, Mr Mclintock to replace Turning Point.

to WCS Mr Husker, owned by Werning Simmentals. She has only had one
heifer calf for us and wow is she good. She will be calving this spring. Her
bull calf this year, which by the way is a full sib to Husker, looks awesome.
All of her bull calves have ended up in the bull pen every year. Her only heifer
calf is darn sure in the top five. Husker’s first calf crop for Werning’s produced a
bull for $35,000 for half interest total value of $70,000 and another for $26,000.
So we have decided to try and get more daughters out of this great cow. With a
lot of persuasion from everyone, we are offering one flush at auction out of this
cow. This cow just gets it done.
