Walk description
Explore Sedgley and its varied surroundings with these walks (sometimes with
uneven or steep footing). Walks take approximately 3 hours including a 30
minute lunch break at a local pub, where participants can eat their own food
but are asked to purchase drinks.

Schedule of progression walks
10 October 2016 – Beacon Hill
Paths and alleyways to Penn Common, lunch in the woods and a climb
over the Beacon Hill. Drinks at the renowned Beacon Hotel.
14 November 2016 – Ripple Beds
To Mons Hill and Wrens Nest to see Dudley’s 420 million year old beach.
Then we pass Parkes Hall Pool to the Britannia for lunch.
12 December 2016 – Butterfly Walk
The Woodland trails of Cotwall End to London Fields and Milking Bank.
Refreshments at the Old Bull’s Head and lunch at the Britannia.
29 December 2016 – Special Thursday Christmas Walk
A walk on the outskirts of Sedgley with a lunch stop at the Beacon Hotel.
9 January 2017 – Baggeridge and Cotwall End
A strenuous walk over the hills of Baggeridge and into Cotwall End. Lunch
at the Woodman.

13 February 2017 – Seven Streams
The least strenuous of the Sedgley walks, but always an adventure over
Seven Streams and through the Seven Woods. Lunch at the Seven Stars.
13 March – Beacon Hill
A climb over Beacon Hill, Woodland to Penn Common, Parkland and
alleyways. Lunch in the woods, drinks at the Bulls Head.
