Talk about opposites in the song. Encourage your child to think of new verses. Promp ng may be needed so you can give a sugges on, happy, etc. and see if your child can tell you the opposite. 
Go on an Opposite Walk. Walking in the park or neighborhood look for things that are opposite. Hard sidewalk/so grass, tall tree/short tree, big dog/li le dog, fast walking/slow walking, sunny/
shady spot, etc. 
Give your child the opportunity to paint with wide and narrow paint brushes. Talk to them about the different widths of lines the brushes make in the paint. Take the ac vity outside and instead of paint give your child a bucket of water and paint rollers of different sizes. 
Go outside and throw a ball underhanded and overhanded. Which is easier? 
At snack or meal me, provide food that has an opposite. Fat/skinny pretzels, big/li le marshmallows, hard/so cookies, etc. Talk about the food and get sugges ons of more food that would be opposites. Make a list. 
Dance to music with fast and slow tempos. How does the different music make you feel? 
Look around the room for opposites and make a list. Big/li le table, a door open and shut, high and low shelf, etc. 
Gather some items from around the house that your child can explore and find opposites. Big and li le shoe, hard and so object, etc. 
