Activity Packet
Howdy! Aloha! Hola! Hello! Ni hao! Bonjour!
We hope you have a great summer holiday and are as excited as we are for
next year. This course will start to prepare you for the work you’ll encounter in
3eme and 2nde in the International Section. You will need to purchase your
own copy of a few books we will study during the year. Please DO NOT read
them over the summer! There are other fantastic options for your summer
reading ahead.
List of books to buy for 4eme International Section Students
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
Students will read these books in class during the year. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO
NOT READ THESE BOOKS OVER THE SUMMER!
In addition to the books listed above, all international section students must
purchase and READ the following play:
Much Ado About Nothing (No Fear Shakespeare) by William Shakespeare
Out of the four books you have to buy, ONLY read Much ado about nothing
over the summer.

and will be graded.
Task 1: Type a 5 paragraph book report on one of the two books you read that
includes specific details about setting, main characters, plot, theme(s), and your
personal opinion. Remember to edit for spelling and grammar (especially run-on
sentences!)

It may not be on the same as the book you have chosen to write a book report
about.

quote from the text.
g.)Create a new book cover for the book. Write a brief paragraph in which you
explain your ideas and relate them to the content of your chosen book.
h.)Record yourself reading your favorite part of the book and discuss/analyze
why it is significant to the story.
