Arrive in Zagreb and enjoy an afternoon guided tour of Croatia’s Capital. Start at the Ban Jelacic Square and be introduced to the two neighboring settlements that comprise the Old Town, including St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Dolac Market, the Stone Gate with the icon of Virgin Mary, House of Parliament, Lotrscak Tower and more! (B, L, D) DAY 2 | ZAGREB Hilltops and Castles of Hrvatsko Zagorje - Join your local guide for a full-day tour of Trakoscan Castle and Varazdin Old Town. Famous for its romantic medieval castles and steep vineyard in the foothills of the mountains, this tour provides a fascinating introduction to the glories of Northern Croatia. (B, L, D) DAY 3 | NATIONAL PARK PLITVICE LAKES – ZADAR Between Croatia’s Capital and the Adriatic coast, the country’s interior offers one of Europe’s most exotic walking routes, Plitvice Lakes National Park. During your guided walking tour you will hike through the most attractive parts of Gornja Jezera (Upper Lakes), followed by a magical boat ride, animated by the sound of the waterfalls, to Donja Jezera (Lower Lakes). See the Great Waterfall and immense Lake Kozjak, the deepest lake in the Park. (B, L, D) DAY 4 | ZADAR Take part in a half-day guided walking tour of Zadar. Experience Zadar’s marvelous fish market, admiring ancient Roman Forum and the main Square, the remarkable church of St. Donatus and the Cathedral of St. Anastasia. Visit the waterfront to listen to Zadar’s internationally famous Sea Organ, and take photos at the Greetings to the Sun, a light installation made of 300 multi-layered glass plates. (B, L, D) DAY 5 | ZADAR – SIBENIK – TROGIR – SPLIT During a convenient, hotel-to-hotel car transfer between Zadar and Split, you will stop for privately-guided tours in two of the most beautiful towns, Sibenik and Trogir. Sibenik, the oldest native Croatian town on the eastern shores of the Adriatic, is home to the UNESCO World Heritage site of the wonderful Cathedral of St. James. Trogir, another UNESCO jewel built entirely of pale limestone, gives the feeling of an open-air museum and is home to the centrally located Cathedral of St. Lawrence. (B, L, D) DAY 6 | SPLIT In Split, Croatia’s second biggest city rich in cultural history, you will enjoy a half-day guided walking tour in the afternoon. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Diocletian’s Palace, where you will see ancient Egyptian monuments, along with well-preserved Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque palaces. Tour the Cathedral of St. Domnius, one of the oldest cathedral’s in the world, and the Peristil, the largest square in Split.
