Our 9 /10 graders are very happy to have finished practice and

Our 9th/10th graders are very happy to have finished practice and regular OGT week. Any students that missed a
test will be making them up at the beginning of next week. We are very excited for this weekend as our
students will be showcased in the spring musical Aida (school edition). Tickets are available for all four
performances (Fri/Sat nights, Sat/Sun matinees). Next week will include a couple of celebrations with the
Winter Sports Banquet Tuesday evening and our annual Cum Laude induction ceremony Wednesday. Our
students will be completing the 3rd quarter next week, it is hard to believe how fast the year has gone by. Have
a great weekend!
Delayed Start Wednesday March 20th
The district will be on a delayed start for professional development on Wednesday March 20th. The warning
bell will be at 9:10am and students riding the bus or reporting to school early should report to the
commons. This Wednesday we are continuing work on our district focus of transitioning to the Common Core
and state of Ohio Model Curriculum. Every course’s curriculum has been affected and many are undergoing
significant change in an effort to increase academic rigor.
End of the Grading Period
Next Friday March 22nd marks the end of the third grading period. The report card portal will be available
Friday April 5th.
Waiver Day Tuesday April 2nd
There will be no school for students Tuesday April 2nd and school will resume from spring break Wednesday
April 3rd. On April 2nd district employees will be training in the ALICE method of crisis prevention and
mitigation. The high school’s assistant principal Rob Winton is collaborating with local police and will be
providing the training for the entire district that day.
College Focus Days in the Future
Our Counseling department has planned two College Focus Days that will take place in the upcoming
