Management
What is management? My dictionary defines it as, “the
act, art, or manner of managing, or handling, controlling,
directing, etc.”
Here are a few so-called words of wisdom that I think
define, apply, or relate to good management:

I
f you’re like most people, you hate checking your mail. It seems
every day the bills and the junk mail just keep coming. Well just
imagine receiving over one hundred and twenty thousand invoices
each year, around ten thousand rent checks per month, mailing out
payments for around ten thousand invoices each month and having
to constantly mail items to over 260 different apartment communities
twice each week. I’m sure thinking about the volume of paper that
flows through our office would make anyone’s head spin. As you
can imagine, achieving this task takes a lot of organization and a lot
of space. We have recently relocated, expanded, and redesigned our
Corporate Mail Room to accommodate our ever growing portfolio of
properties. We encourage you to stop by and see the renovations the
next time you are in the office.

property will have its first building ready for occupancy in late
March and the remaining buildings shortly thereafter. A third
property, Fair Grove Apartments, is a 40 unit property in Snow
Hill, NC. Construction is ending and it will be ready for residents
in the next month or so.
Villas at Fallen Spruce
T
here are new properties in Partnership Property
Management’s portfolio! Villas at Fallen Spruce is a 55
unit senior property located in Asheville, NC that opened in
December. It leased up quickly, highlighting the continued
need for quality affordable housing. The Retreat at Statesville
is nearing completion in Statesville, NC. This 88 unit family
Fair Grove
We have several properties that aren’t new, but they have a
new look after rehabs were completed in 2014. Drew Hills
Apartments in Battleboro, NC, Cedar Well Apartments in Hilton
Head, SC, and Pine Glade Apartments in Siler City, NC have
had extensive renovations. Rutherford Square Apartments in
Connelly Springs, NC is next in line, with its rehab commencing
in the next few months.
2016 is off to an exciting start!

Community Service Update

Service
Committee would
like to take this
opportunity to thank
all who helped with
various service projects throughout
2015. Through your generosity and
the generosity of our owners, we were
able to make life a little easier for
many who are less fortunate or facing
a crisis. We finished off the year with
our Corn Hole Competition that raised
money for the Ronald McDonald
House and a very successful toy drive
that helped the Salvation Army make
Christmas morning extra special for
underprivileged children. In addition
to our joint efforts, the Holoman-Vocci
Foundation gave a generous gift to our
local American Red Cross chapter,
purchased several hundred Christmas
cards benefiting Urban Ministries,
purchased smoke detectors to help
Mountain Housing Opportunities
provide safe housing for their clients,
and is one of the sponsors for the
upcoming Mardis Gras fundraiser which
raises money for Housing Assistance
Corporation.
To get 2016 off to a good start, we will
be calling on your cutting and tying
talents to help make blankets for Victory
Junction and your packing talents to
help prepare welcome bags for new
residents at Partnership Village. In
February we will have our traditional
Valentine’s Day Fundraiser to support
the Red Cross. Stay tuned for many
other opportunities!
Once again, we thank you for your
support and generosity in 2015 and look
forward to making a difference together
in 2016.
