Mrs. Andracavage
BY Alaiah
Let me tell you about my teacher, Mrs. Andracavage.
She likes yellow and she likes elephants.
Mrs. Andracavage taught us
how to add and subtract big
and small numbers. She taught
us that people are mammals
because we don’t lay eggs.
I like Mrs. Andracavage
because she teaches us a
lot to get us ready for
second grade. She’s a great
teacher and you will have
a great time in her class.

Mr. Bell
BY JASMINE
MONK
Mr. Bell is fun and nice. Mr. Bell can turn hard
math into a little game. If everyone in class is
here, we get one extra minute of recess.
When you are doing robust vocabulary, Mr. Bell
has funny pictures. I like them. They help me
remember words. When he’s doing papers in the
back, you have something to do. If we are in the
middle of a lesson, he will stop to answer all of
your questions and then get back to the lesson.

The name of my teacher is Mrs. Kolbman. She is very nice
and kind and pretty. She helps every student. My teacher
teaches to me and my friends. I love school because my
teacher makes learning fun. Each day when I go to school
to see my teacher I feel happy. One day, I’ll be like her.

GRADE
TWO
BY TYLER
RONCA
Mrs. Harmon is a wonderful teacher.
She is the best teacher ever.
The reason Mrs. Harmon is a
wonderful teacher is because she lets
us use iPads and computers in the
morning. If we have time after reading,
we get to have four choices. Choice 1
is flashcards, choice 2 is iPads, choice
3 is computer sand choice 4 is writing.
Sometimes we have a fun Friday which
is the best! Sometimes we get an extra
minute for the mad math minute if
some people are not finished. Here’s a
tip! Mrs. Harmon is one of the best
teachers you can find in second grade.
Mrs. Sasso
BY DAHNARIA
MANCIA
Mrs. Sasso is nice. Mrs. Sasso
is cool. She is funny and witty
too. Wouldn’t you like to be in
her class? I think you should;
it’s nice and fun every day.
Every day when I wake up,
I am so happy because of
Mrs. Sasso. Every morning
when I step into her room and
see her face, my eyes light up
into the sky. I feel so happy to
have her as my teacher and if
you do, you should too!
Mrs. Smull
BY AVYANA
BAITY
Mrs. Smull is an awesome
teacher. Mrs. Smull is
kind because if we have
a problem and do the right
thing to correct it she lets
us clip up. She is a nice
teacher because she really
taught us a lot to get ready
for third grade before she
left to have her new baby.
In reading, she helps us
understand what we are
learning about. If students
are arguing she helps us
solve the problem.
These are the many
ways Mrs. Smull is
kind to our class.
LYONS
Ms. Williams is sweet, clever, nice, and kind.
She has compassion, beauty and always
wears a smile. She is pleasant, teaches us
manners and is very, very bright.
Ms. Williams is so nice
that she bought a pizza
and shared it with us!
We had a great year
because of her spirit.
Ms. Williams is very
bright which makes
her who she is.
I feel so happy to have her as my teacher!
shared it with us!
Ms. Williams
Mrs. Krause
BY EMMANUEL
Mrs. Krause is generous and I’m going to
prove this to you by telling you three reasons.
The first reason she is generous is because she
gives us extra recess; not just my class but the
entire third grade. If you want more time to play,
Mr. Krause gives it to you if the class is good.
Another reason she is generous is because she
does this thing where you put your name on a
ticket and she pulls a name. If your name is pulled
you win a prize from the treasure box! There are
many different things in the box. The last reason
Mrs. Krause is generous is because she lets you
play fun games when it is indoor recess like
Connect Four, Candyland, Compass Odyssey
and Mahjong Jr. These are some reasons why
she is so generous!

She would be a great teacher for 4th grade.
She teaches so well that we learn so quick.

She is the best teacher I will ever know.
I think you will also say so!
Ms. Wheatley
BY FERNANDO
MONTES-LOPEZ
Ms. Wheatley is the best because
she teaches math very well.
Ms. Wheatley is the best because
she bought popcorn and lemonade
for the whole class.
Ms. Wheatley is really cool for a reason.
She gives us interesting writing prompts!
Ms. Wheatley is the best teacher because
once she brought us to play ga-ga ball.
Thank you, Ms. Wheatley for teaching me!

Something that I really like about Mrs. Cooper is that she is really nice,
helpful and keeps pushing me to try my best. She tells me, “you can do
it” and stuff like that. Everything I learned from her I can hold on to for
the rest of my life. I can look back and say, “I know that because of my
fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Cooper”. My plan is when I get

to watch a movie to relax and take a
break. Another reason why she’s a
good teacher is that she lets us play cup stacking for indoor
recess and it is awesome! My last reason why Mrs. Moorehouse
is a good teacher is she prepped us well for the PSSA!
Mr. Turner
BY JEREMIAH
(READING)
McCRAY
Do you know Mr. Turner? I do! He is
a phenomenal teacher. He teaches
reading and he is great at it! He
taught me everything I know about
reading and writing. Mr. Turner
taught me plural possessives and
singular possessives and just plural
and singular! This is why Mr. Turner
is a phenomenal teacher and if you
have him; you are lucky!
Mr. Brown (MATH)
BY DAUNTE
BELL
Mr. Brown is one of the best
teachers I ever had. He is one of
the best teachers I ever had because
he acts the way a teacher is
supposed to act. He is nice, but if
we do something wrong, he will
tell you to go out into the hall and
will talk to you. Also, he is one
of the best teachers because in
math he teaches us stuff for grades
above ours so we are ready for it!
Also, when he is teaching if one
person doesn’t get it than he
will go over the whole thing again.
That is why Mr. Brown is one of
the best teachers I know.
Everything I learned from her I
can hold on to for the rest of my life.
Mrs. Armour
BY GUADELUPE
CEJA MORENO
You may be thinking about why teachers are important in your life.
Mrs. Armour is important to me. One reason why Mrs. Armour is important
to me is because she is teaching me new things so I become smarter in
reading, writing, math and science. She also makes games out of science and
math and it is fun to play these in teams. Another reason is that Mrs. Armour
makes us write books about electricity and the three branches of government.
It is helping me because I am working harder on my writing. The last reason
why Mrs. Armour is important to me is because she is nice and funny and
she is very smart. She uses that smartness to get us ready for middle
school. Whenever I say I am scared to go to middle school, she says,
“don’t worry, everything is going to be fine”. This is why I love my
teacher and I always will no matter what happens because I know
she has been there for me.
She kept telling me “you can do it!”

Dear Mr. Speicher,
Thank you for being my music teacher.
You were different than any other teacher
I have had. You always kept on helping every
student on their instruments until they got
it right. As for chorus, all of the members,
including me, had an amazing show at the
winter and spring concerts. You were one
of the directors for this year’s play and the
play was amazing! You are really talented.
So, thank you for being a great music teacher.

Dear Ms. Moore,
Thank you for teaching us art. You are a good
teacher. Thank you for showing us different
kinds of art work.
You take your time on
the kind of art you want
to teach us. You are a
pretty teacher. You help
kids make their art
better and that is nice
to help kids.
And let’s not forget our favorite building
substitute teacher, Ms. Rathgeb!
SPECIAL EDUCATION
AND DISCOVERY
Ms. Rathgeb
BY AVYANA
Ms. Rathgeb is an amazing teacher. She bought us water ice when we
went to the Elmwood Park Zoo. It was so yummy! Then when it was time
for the EXPO, she bought us t-shirts that said “Junior Park Rangers.”
Everyone was saying she was a great teacher and we agreed.
These are some of the reasons that Ms. Rathgeb is amazing.

Ms. Graham is the best speech teacher
I ever had. She picks me up from class
so I can learn my s’s and to help me
keep my tongue behind my teeth.
I get a sticker or two every time I do
well. When I fill up two rows of stickers
I get a prize from the prize box.
The best part of the year was when
we got to eat lunch with her in the
atrium. Ms. Graham is amazing.

LEADERSHIP
TEAM
Dr. Poncheri
BY KATRINA
(PRINCIPAL)
JACKSON 4 T H G R A D E
We have met many teachers in our life. They are all special.
They all try to teach us and try to make us great leaders.
What does our principal do? She does not teach us 8 times
9 or talk to us when we make a bad choice. My principal is
someone who is the leader of an entire community within
a school. Our principal, Dr. Poncheri is very kind to us.
If we are coming into the school and she sees us she will
say “Good morning!” or if we are leaving to go home, she
always says “Goodbye! Have a nice day!” Our principal
is super nice. Our principal works hard. She has to set up
meetings at good times on good days. She must have over
30 meetings in a week! She also has to make sure we have
assemblies like the chorus concert. This can be very hard.
Dr. Poncheri does almost everything in the school. She is
hard working, caring and the best.
Dr. DeMinico

BY JOEY
PFANDERS 4 T H G R A D E
Dr. DeMinico is nice because whenever she is in
the classroom she always helps us. The thing that
Dr. DeMinico helps us with most is writing. I was having
a hard time with writing and she helped me through it
and helped me the whole time. When it came time to
take the PSSA, I was prepared and the PSSA was easy.

Mrs. Rolon makes everyone happy,
but don’t be bad or she will be
