MAKE A DIFFERENCE
IN THE LIVES OF THOSE AFFECTED BY
ALZHEIMER’S
Saturday, October 6, 2012
Check-in 9 a.m. – Walk begins 10 a.m.
Markel Plaza, 4600 Cox Road
Each fall, the Innsbrook community and
beyond gather together to make a
difference in the lives of those affected
by Alzheimer’s. Join us Saturday, October 6
for the Alzheimer’s Association signature
nationwide fundraising event,Walk to End
Alzheimer’s.
Become part of this group of individuals, corporations and
organizations that are proud to lead the fight against Alzheimer’s. Start a team with your
family, friends and coworkers or walk as an individual and choose between a one-mile or
three-mile course. This is a community event featuring entertainment, refreshments and fun
the entire family can enjoy.
Alzheimer’s is a type of dementia
that causes problems with
memory, thinking and behavior.
Symptoms usually develop slowly
and over time become severe
enough to interfere with daily tasks.
There is no current cure, but treatments
for symptoms are available and research
continues. Current Alzheimer’s
treatments can temporarily slow the
worsening of dementia symptoms and
improve quality of life for those with Alzheimer’s.

Gold Medal Volunteers
These Volunteers Make It
HAPPEN
All Year Long
Volunteers are a huge part of what makes Innsbrook events
tick. For example, collectively there are over 4,500 hours
of volunteer help that supported the 2012 Innsbrook After
Hours concert series alone. And that’s just one of the over
100 major events and fundraisers that Innsbrook holds each
year. These Innsbrook volunteers deserve a GOLD MEDAL!

Calling All Volunteers
We rely heavily on the generosity of volunteers to help execute our
fun-filled, energized events, and are extending an invitation to
anyone interested in participating to join our volunteer team.
Richmond Corporate Games
Friday & Saturday, September 28 & 29
Want to get in on the excitement and energy of the Richmond
Corporate Games without ever having to practice or train, this
is your opportunity! Volunteers can choose any two-hour block
of time or sign-up to volunteer for the entire day of events. We are looking
for referees, people to hold the canoes during the ever-popular Canoe Relay,
timing events, working the beer trucks and even helping to set-up, break down,
fundraising and event organization.
Innsbrook’s Great Pumpkin Palooza
Friday & Saturday, October 26 & 27
Join our team of volunteers and choose your favorite activities from the kids’
area, costume contest or enjoy the social scene of volunteering in the beer
garden. If you’re in good shape, help us with event set-up and take-down to get
a great workout while helping a great cause.
A gold medal thank you to our volunteer meal sponsors Joey’s Hot Dogs and Chick-fil-A!
