“Our mission is to provide children in
Washoe County access to a variety of
high quality, developmentally appropriate
programs with qualified teachers.
Programs will meet the individual child’s
and family’s needs as well as
performance standards that will prepare
children to be successful in school.”
About Our Programs
•
•
•
Washoe County Preschool classrooms are
located at various sites throughout
Washoe County including elementary
schools, high schools, and community
based sites.

writing skills, math, movement,
language, literacy, science, art, music,
self-help skills and socialization based on
Nevada Pre-Kindergarten Content
Standards and the National Association

guidelines for developmentally
appropriate practices.
Each Pre-K program is held four days a
week (Monday—Thursday) for 2 to 2 ½
hours in either a morning or afternoon
session.
