The Imaginea logo represents the Tree
of Life. It depicts the inter-connectivity
between all life on our planet and conveys
strength, unity, growth and longevity.
Three Spirals
The three spirals in the tree represent Planet, People and Profit.
Each spiral is a branch in the tree, connected together in harmony.
Spiraling in represents returning to our place of origin.
Spiraling out represents continual growth and evolution.
Tree Trunk
The woven tree trunk represents the interconnectivity of the spiral
branches – It speaks to connection, balance and harmony between
Planet, People and Profit.
Roots
The roots of the tree depict both resource extraction and a
connection to the earth – dependency, continuity, sustainability.
Circle Thought Bubble
The circle represents a thought bubble, a new idea, fueled by
creativity, vision, wisdom and intuition. All of which guide us in
our journey.
Colours
Blue and Green represent the colours of planet Earth, in harmony
with each other – land, water, air, life, strength, and commitment.

Imaginea Energy Corp. is an energy
company backed by private equity, and
based in Calgary, Canada. We produce oil
and gas. Over 5500 boe/d…for now.
What’s really interesting is how we go about getting it,
and the role we see hydrocarbons playing in the future.
We’re defying industry stereotypes by focusing on
sustainability and community responsibility in
everything we do. We’re the energy company for the
21st century. We care about the planet and people just
as much as we do about profit - which is to say, a lot.
We believe the energy industry can be a force for good in
all three of the Ps – And through collaboration, courage,
commitment, and creativity we are going to
demonstrate that it can be done. Right now, our focus is
on optimizing our assets to minimize emissions,
pollution and the use of fresh water. Our goal is to have
none of the above – that’s right, we’re on the road to
zero (not net-zero!). We envision a regenerative economy
where clean hydrocarbons are used to produce clean
energy, and as clean feedstock for manufacturing.

why we do it:

What have we
accomplished so far?
Solar Powered Oil Wells –
Solar panels installed on two of
our well locations provide power
mainly from the sun, rather than from
our Alberta grid system which is a significant
contributor to polluting emissions.
Reduced Flaring – We have reduced our flaring associated with
curtailment imposed on us by third party processors by building
pipelines to re-injecting sales gas back into the reservoir.
Asset Optimization – We have rerouted a battery to another
battery to reduce trucking and flaring, with plans to reroute that
battery to yet another, further reducing our energy use, less
operator travel and truck pollution, and more efficiencies overall.
Hemp Road Pilot – Well access roads are often two ruts across
the prairie. Hemp mats placed in the ruts and topped with a thin lift
of gravel has the potential to reduce environmental impact of these
roads by minimizing long-term soil impacts.
Rhizobacteria – We’ve partnered with noted researchers to
explore the benefits of enhancing locally sourced rhizobacteria. We
hope to eliminate the traditional ‘dig and dump’ process for
reclaiming disturbed lands. When combined with biochar, a
plant-based source of carbon, we may even capture significant
amounts of atmospheric CO2 – a real AND solution for the planet!
Green Product Piloting – We are piloting a variety of
environmentally friendly products as alternatives to traditional,
often hazardous chemicals that are used in the oil and gas industry.
What’s in the works that’s new and exciting?
Imaginea Accelerator – We are creating an Accelerator to
move game-changing technologies forward faster, with Imaginea as
the early adopter. We want to help commercialize technologies that
will help us get to zero faster, and help to build a regenerative
ecosystem. Through transparency and open source thinking, we will
enable others to follow suit.
The way things have traditionally been
done in the energy industry is simply
not sustainable.

Imaginea Farms – We are exploring relationships with greenhouses and food producers, whose largest costs are CO2, water and
heat – three things that we produce in abundance! A win-win!
Clean Manufacturing – Imagine plastic pellets that are
created with zero emissions, zero pollution and no fresh water –
wow! Still a long ways to go, but we’re working on it!
