Members went over the meeting minutes of 02-09-12. Lee Made a motion to pass the minutes. Adam seconded. Motion passed. Members went over the minutes of 02-2312. Adam made a motion to accept the minutes. David Morris seconded. Motion passed. The Treasurers Report of 02-23-12 was discussed. Adam made a motion to accept the report. Manny seconded. Motion passed. Hank discussed the need of a treasurer. Anita reported that Jane Wells had presented interest in the position. Manny made a motion for Jane to be the new treasurer. Adam seconded. Motion passed. Hank will call Jane. Anita reported that FEMA had visited her office and discussed using the office to send out information, should the need arise. Bob Strange reported that his business had made a donation of supplies. Salem True Value will be a collection site for items such as tarps, chain saw bar oil, etc. Businesses who were damaged in the tornado were discussed. Anita will continue to try to make contact with the businesses. 2. 3. 4. 6. Programming: Anita asked the board if the Chamber would like to sponsor free concerts during the summer at CenterPeace. Anita will ask bands to donate their time. Manny made a motion to sponsor (no money involved) the free concert. David Hoar seconded. Motion passed. Anita reported that Washington County is the next hosts of regional chambers. Adam Kelly of Dawalt Funeral Home will provide the food to feed the individuals. Anita will provide additional information regarding the meeting. Anita gave a report on event insurance. Additional information will be gathered and reported back to the board. 7. Hank discussed Eikosi – the name of a proposed event planned for Labor Day weekend. The group is investigating the possibility of this event. The next meeting will be at Grateful Goat Vineyard and Winery on March 14, 7 pm. The Board is invited to attend. 8. Hank reported on a data upgrade to the Chamber computer. Cybertek presented a proposal for offsite backups, manage anti-virus, spam filtering and offsite/support for $55.00 per month. Members discussed the proposal and discussed getting an external hard drive for backups. Manny made a motion to accept Cybertek’s proposal. Lee seconded. Motion passed. Anita will contact Cybertek. Hank asked all board members to look over a video placed on the website under contact the Chamber and provide feedback. 9. Hank reported on WCEGP. He announced there was a new member, Charlie Coon of Telemedia in Pekin. 10. Bob and Hank discussed the membership committee and the email that Bob sent to committee members. Finance committee was reminded that a quarterly audit was due at the end of the month. Lights committee is to meet soon. 11. Hank discussed a new program dubbed Operation Mayberry.
