At reading Matthew 13, we find several titles that we describe next:






The parable of the sower – Mt 13:1
The purpose of the parables – Mt 13:10-11 The parable was some kind of wall for
someone could reach the understanding and at reaching it he would be reaching
salvation, on the contrary he wouldn´t reach salvation, that is the difference with the
religious about the understanding of the parables.
The explanation of the parable of the sower – Mt 13:18
The parable of the tare – Mt 13-24
The parables of the mustard seed and the leaven – Mt 13:31-33
Prophesy and parables – Mt 13:34-35 we see that the Lord Jesus Christ use to talk to
the crowd in parables but not to the disciples. The extraordinary of this is that there is a
parable which is linked to the rest of them and if we achieve to understand that parable,
our understanding will reach the light of the rest of the parables and blessings too.
But then, How could we understand that Jesus did not speak in hyperboles? Let us see one
example: Jesus said that it was easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a
rich man get into the Kingdom of God (MT 19:24); but what Jesus did here was talking in
parables not in hyperboles; so we need to beg God to pour over us His revelation to help us to
understand what He is telling us.
Let us see other verses that might be understood as an hyperbole.
Mat 17:20 KJ2000 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto
you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, Remove
from here to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Mat 21:21 KJ2000 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If you have faith,
and doubt not, you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say
unto this mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea; it shall be done.
Mar 11:23 KJ2000 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be
removed, and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those
things which he said shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he said.
The first thing we need to understand is that if we have a little faith, we can do a lot and
amazing things, but as much as we work with our faith, we can see the example of the mustard
seed that in spite of being the most little seed of all it becomes the biggest of the vegetables;
our faith an grow in the same way because we see that Jesus told them that they were man of
little faith but still God fulfilled their petition. It would be extraordinary that we have faith just like
God wants us to have, but while we reach it we must effort to advance and get a superior level
of faith, advance believing to God every time more. This is the reason why we see that if
somebody is faithfull over a few things will be ruler over many things. Then the question is:
before which mounts we will face and what would we say with few faith to make them move in
their place? Let us see:

THE MOUNT OF DEFEAT OR FAIL
Perhaps at this time of our life, we could see behind uns all the mounts that the Lord had let us
defeat and it is to thank God. However in some time it could have cause us a bad taste that
doubtless we do not want it for anybody else; but thank God we got through it.
2Sa 15:30 KJ2000 And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up,
and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that were with him covered
every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.
We could hardly imagine David´s condition in that time, what he was suffering because only the
one who is suffering knows what others could be going through and could encourage to help
that one to not fall along the way, God is faithful to rise us and stand us up to keep fighting in
His name because He is with us.
2Sa 16:1 KJ2000 And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the servant
of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of donkeys saddled, and upon them two hundred
loaves of bread, and a hundred bunches of raisins, and a hundred summer fruits, and a skin of
wine.
Another situation that we can see in this story is that there were traitors looking for the way to
take advantage of David´s situation. Obviously these are situations that many of us could be
living or worst, but we must strongly take the hand of God and keep walking.
2Sa 16:13 KJ2000 And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill’s
side opposite him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust.
This was another hard time David´s life; he was left alone and those who approached to him
was with the purpose of curse him. In the same way we have lived a moment living injustices
and plus this many people starts murmuring against us they dare to rise like judges from God
against us. But in spite of all this we read that David did not rise his voice against any of them
because he thought that probable that people were sent by God to curse him. Today we need to
be taken by the hand of God and keep walking because all is for good to those who love the
Lord and while we trust in Him, we will be walking where God wants us to. If at any moment we
believe that the devil is mocking of us for what we have being living, we need to know that only
with a little faith God will get us out of that storm, we will order to that mount of defeat to move
away from our way and it will.
THE MOUNT OF THE ANCESTRAL CURSE
2Sa 21:9 KJ2000 And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged
them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the
days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.
Saul broke the covenant that Joshua did with the Gibeonites for the transportation of the water;
because anciently this was a women job but Joshua made a pact with that people to replace
women for that job. One day Saul broke that pact and ordered his army to kill the Gibeonites;

and after a long while when David was already king the Gibeonites requested David to deliver
to them the descendants of Saul to kill them to revenge the death of their ancestors; but, they
were not guilty of Saul´s fault; notwithstanding let us remember that the Lord visits the iniquity of
the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation; if we know that we could be
bad influenced by our ancestors; we need to beg the Lord to set us free of any ancestral curse
to be totally free of any negative situation upon our life and so our children can start a new and
honest life before God.
