Purpose of the Project :
•To understand how the Arctic coastal landscape looks like.
•To understand how the landscape has been formed over
many years.
•To understand how the formations of Arctic coastal
landscape differ from those in Hong Kong.
Hypothesis:
Factors affecting the formation of coastal landscape in
Arctic are similar to those in Hong Kong which include :
• Wave erosion
• Deposition
Hong Kong
coastal
landscape
Methodology
• Identify and record the landform features found in the eastern coast
of Greenland. (Recorded by photographing and jotting notes)
• Observe the features, see whether there are some evidences which may
probably contribute to its formation.
• Deduce how they formed from the clues/evidences.
• Draw diagrams to show the forming processes.

Findings:
• Sea wave erosion serves only a side factor and only one landform
feature recorded is related to sea wave erosion.
• There are many other factors leading to the presence of the
mentioned coastal landform features, like the glacial movement
and tectonic action, etc.
• Generally, there is no coastal landscape resulted from glacial
movement in Hong Kong, but Arctic does.
