Today is World Teachers’ Day and I would like to acknowledge all of our Franklin Staff who work so hard each day to ensure our school is successful. Many thanks to our P & C who provided a beautiful morning tea and gift basket for the staff. It is nice to be acknowledged for the work we do. Franklin Early Childhood School - Newsletter # 29 Page 1 Well done to our year 2 leaders, Hannah, Xavier, Kayleen, Aiden and Bachitar, pictured below. These students have worked diligently as our first group of Sports Leaders to hand out and collect equipment during outdoor play periods. Well done! Many thanks as well to Michael Lemmey and the students from Gungahlin College who provided a rich experience for our kindergarten students yesterday. The students had produced their own books as part of their English course and they came to share their illustrated texts with us. The Franklin students really enjoyed the learning experience, as you can see from the photos below. Franklin Early Childhood School - Newsletter # 29 Page 2 Finally, huge congratulations to Annette Evans, our Community Coordinator, who was nominated for a 2016 Children’s Week Community Award. Well done Annette. Her citation reads as follows: Our newsletters will be going out fortnightly from this week so the next newsletter will come out on Friday 11 November. Have a great weekend!
