The Republic of Armenia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB)
towards the cost of 2752-ARM: Sustainable Urban Development Investment Program Tranche 1 (SUDIP-1). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named
above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.
The Investing Projects Implementation Unit Building up of Yerevan Community
Non Commercial Organization (the Employer) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the
construction and the completion of the project: L2752-ICB/CSW-T1: Arshakunyats Street
Section km 0+000- km 1+280km (“the Works”). The bidding procedure is Single-Stage: OneEnvelope bidding procedure.
The work duration is 10 months with a subsequent 36 months defect liability period.
They are located within Shengavit district, to the south of the City center.
The Works comprises the widening of Arshakunyats Street on approximately 1.28 km
length, and consist mainly of 5 lanes carriageway with central reservation.
The Works include (but are not limited to) the following:
a) Diversion of exiting utilities including water supply and electricity.
b) Site clearance and demolition of existing structures within the proposed expropriation
limits
c) Demolition and reconstruction of existing carriageway
d) The construction of a new carriageway adjacent to the existing carriageway
e) Associated drainage works
f) Ancillary works including lighting, signs and markings
g) Demolition and reconstruction of boundary wall and checkpoint to Department of
Defense institute
h) Temporary Works including traffic management works and maintenance of access

Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this

Minimum average annual construction turnover of US$ 5,400,000 (five million four
hundred thousand US dollars) calculated as total certified payments received for
contracts in progress or completed, within the last 3 (three) years
Access to or availability of financial resources such as liquid assets, unencumbered real
assets, lines of credit and other financial means, other than any contractual advance
payments for the amount of US$ 900,000 (nine hundred thousand US dollars)
Participation as contractor, management contractor, or subcontractor, in at least 1 (one)
contract within the last 3 (three) years, each with a value of at least US$ 2,880,000 (two
million eight hundred eighty thousand US dollars) that has been successfully or is
substantially completed and that is similar to the proposed works

together with a Bid Security as specified in the bidding documents.
Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of bidders’
representatives who choose to attend. For the purpose of determining the equivalent amount of
the required Bid Security in a freely convertible currency, the exchange rates published by the
Central Bank of Armenia prevailing on the date 28 days prior to the deadline for bid submission
shall be applied.
