You really want the new game and decided to borrow $10.00 from your parents to buy it now. You plan to pay it back with $1.00 per week for 10 weeks from your allowance. This was a choice that helped you achieved your goal. TRADE-OFF – STAY PUT! You use to spend a lot of money on candy and pop. Now you are getting older and want to use your money to buy clothes and other things your parents will not buy for you. Good thinking. TAKE ANOTHER TURN! Your brother wants to borrow $5.00 from you. He promises to pay you back with $0.50 interest when he gets his next pay check in two weeks. He has paid you back on time in the past. You give him the money because he has paid in the past. GO AHEAD 1 SPACE! You have gone to your elderly grandparent to help them rake their leaves. They offered to pay you but you said “no” - you just wanted to help. While shopping at the mall you and a friend found a purse with $500.00 in it. You have your parents call the person who lost the purse and return it to her. She gives you and your friend each $5.00. Good job! GO AHEAD 2 SPACES! Your family plans a trip next summer. You have all decided to save pennies nickels, and dimes to use for expenses for the trip. You gave up a trip to the mall shopping with your sister. TRADE-OFF – STAY PUT! You carefully plan how you will spend each allowance you receive, including saving $2.00. Bravo!
