Open to all rabbit exhibitors. Judging done on a daily basis as follows: 50% Cleanliness (cages, bedding, floor area), 30% water and feeding of rabbits, 10% cage identification (cage marker - no larger than 3 1/2" x 5") and 10% showmanship (to judges and visitors). To ensure an official sweepstakes for the 2016 Missouri State Fair, there must have been a minimum of 10 head of that breed of rabbit exhibited at the 2015 Fair. Ten (10) head must be exhibited by open exhibitors to be sanctioned in open show at the 2016 State Fair; and 10 head must be exhibited by youth exhibitors to be sanctioned in the youth show at the 2016 State Fair. 11. No exhibitor camping allowed behind the Poultry/Rabbit Building. Camping is available in the inner campground, by reservation only, on the camping reservation form in this premium guide or the West Campground, which is on a first-come, first-served basis. 12. Stock will be accepted anytime after 12:00 noon until 10:00 p.m., NEW Tuesday, August 18. All rabbits and exhibitors must be checked in with the Office by 10:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 18. No cooping will be allowed before 12:00 noon, Tuesday! 13. All stock to be in place by 7:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 19. Any stock arriving late may not be judged, nor will entry fee be refunded, unless the exhibitor has been at another fair and the Superintendent has been notified in advance. 14. All rabbits arriving at the Fairgrounds shall enter through Gate 11 and shall so depart on removal of rabbits from Fairgrounds upon release by Superintendent. Gate 11 is located at the southeast corner of the Fairgrounds on U.S. Highway 65. NEW15. Entries must include rabbit ear number. All rabbits must be permanently tattooed. Be sure the markings are plain enough to be easily read. 16. No one will be allowed in the judging area except show officials and their designated helpers. 17. Only rabbits that are entered in the show are allowed in the show room. No rabbits under 3 months of age unless in a breed pre-junior class or meat pen classes will be allowed to enter show. All exhibitors must feed and water their stock the entire duration of the Fair and be responsible for their stock. Feed will not be supplied this year. 18. Stock will be released at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 23, and must be checked out by 8:00 p.m. (If stock is released early, all stock must vacate barn within 2 hours after release time.) 19. All rules governing the exhibition, judging and awarding of prizes will be interpreted by the Superintendent. An A.R.B.A. licensed registrar will be present to register rabbits. An A.R.B.A. licensed judge will place the awards. The sponsor reserves the right to substitute another judge in case of inability of the judge to officiate. 20. The Missouri State Fair will not be responsible in case of fire, theft or providential destruction; however, every practical precaution will be taken to prevent mistakes in the showroom. 21. Absolutely no smoking or alcoholic beverages in the showroom. 22. Bedding will be shavings or bring your own false floor; NO STRAW IS ALLOWED. 23. Any diseased or sick rabbit will be dismissed from showroom. 24. All rabbit bedding must be kept clean and sanitary at all times. 25. The greatest care will be taken of all rabbits, but the management will not be responsible for any accident, mistake, loss or damage, regardless of cause. 26. Comment cards are not used. If an exhibitor wants comments, they must supply their own comment card to the writer. 27. Entry numbers may be limited to each exhibitor if the numbers go over the barn's capacity. 28. Non-entered rabbits will not be allowed on the State Fairgrounds. OFFICIAL A.R.B.A. Sanctioned Show The Missouri State Fair is a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association and this rabbit show will be governed by, and run under, the latest revised official show rules of the American Rabbit Breeders Association, Inc. All prizes will be awarded strictly in accordance with the American Standard of Perfection. A.R.B.A. National Convention - Portland, OR 10/31 - 11/4/15 RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. Entries close and must be received by July 1, 2015. 2. Exhibitors must comply with the general rules and regulations for exhibitors in the front of this premium book. 3. When there is only one (1) exhibit in a class, the exhibitor will receive half of the premium money for the placing awarded by the judge. 4.The Missouri State Fair does not guarantee premium money, mer- chandise, prizes or special awards. Because the State Fair Commis- sion is without constitutional or statutory authority to borrow money for its operation, it reserves the right to prorate premium money because of state budget restraints. 5. Entries and entry fees should be mailed directly to the Missouri State Fair, 2503 W. 16th St., Sedalia, MO 65301. 6. All rabbits must be entered in the name of the bona fide owner. 7. Each exhibitor is allowed ten substitutions out-of-breed, with no limit to in-class substitutions. ALL exhibitors including those only NEW showing in 4-H or FFA must check in at the Rabbit office, 4-H and FFA exhibitors must also check-in with Sharon Stephens and/or Barb Clark. Refer to 4-H and FFA rules. 8. All entries not marked with a youth, 4-H or FFA will automatically be shown in the open show, no exceptions.
