Despite conducting thousands of assessment each year, we strongly advocate for a shift from only auditing to auditing that sincerely supports capacity building and continuous improvement. We challenge the
idea that there exists a ‘one size fits all’ solution or approach. With this underlying philosophy, ELEVATE’s
labor compliance assessments are executed against a company and/or industry code of conduct (COC)
using only local, well trained, and experienced field staff. As a result, we possess a clear understanding of
regional and country specific trends and challenges related to factory compliance and assessment methodology. All assessments include corrective action plans with pragmatic solutions designed to assist our
clients and their suppliers with remediation, capacity building and continuous improvement.
The assessment process itself requires that information be gathered from management interviews,
employee interviews, visual observation, and document/records review. Initial visits typically last from 1-4
person days, and follow-up visits from 1-2 person days. Without this, the audit does not provide the fundamental information necessary to understand the scope of the risks and thus, cannot promote realistic
improvement strategies. ELEVATE is the leader in recalibrating audit programs to drive transparency and
expose the true challenges within the supply chain. Not only this, but ELEVATE provides comprehensive
comparative benchmarking with the most credible benchmarking data available it in the industry.

A FINAL NOTE ON INTEGRITY:
ELEVATE’s reputation for integrity is unmatched in the industry. Maintaining the integrity of our practices,
our data, and our delivery of information is the cornerstone of our work. Our integrity program is not
simply tied to a set of written procedures but is also embedded in how we operate. For instance, our Operating Offices have no business development responsibilities – allowing us to avoid obvious conflicts of
interest. As part of our Integrity program, ELEVATE has implemented a strict ‘Employee Code of Ethics’ for
all our staff which prohibits the acceptance of gifts, payment, or benefit of any kind. Any person (client,
factory manager, worker, co-worker, etc.) may report possible illegal, unethical or improper conduct either
through a secure website www.elevate.ethicspoint.com or multilingual hotline hosted by EthicsPoint. EthicsPoint who is an independent, third-party, professional service firm we have engaged to ensure that all
reports are handled in a professional, thorough, and confidentiality manner.
ELEVATE developed its assessment business around the idea that transparency is a critical success factor
to all audits. Without it, there is limited insight into the risks and scope of issues and no real basis by which
to determine what needs to be done and what constitutes improvement. ELEVATE provides a variety of
assessment services. These range from labor compliance audits to worker satisfaction surveys and can be
requested either individually or as a program blending several different types of assessments.
Sustained, impactful improvement in social
and environmental performance requires a
responsible balance between maximizing
financial return and meeting supplier responsibility requirements.
