In the surfing world, the name Guy Takayama is as recognizable as a left breaking
wave. Guy is an international surfing champion, Surfboard shaper and health
advocate. With Hawaiian surfing family roots, Guy was Born and raised along Southern
California’s sunny coast. Surfing since age 5, Guy rose to a national and international
surfing prominence, capturing multiple national and international surfing titles. His
passion for surfing and design led to his creation of Guy Takayama Surf Design, which
serves as the platform for his surf and stand up paddle board product lines. Guy is also
seriously committed to active and healthy lifestyles and has worked with amateur and
professional athletes both in physical training and injury rehabilitation.
This surfboard is 76” in length and was shaped and designed by Guy Takayama. The
paint and artwork was done by Master Artist Wade Koniakowsky and the resin and
glossing was done by Warren Brown. The backside is signed by surfing legends: John
Peck, Tom Ortner, Robert Weaver (“Wingnut” from the movie Endless Summer II),
