Earned Rates ________________________
Full Run: Earned rates are determined by the
total number of pages (full or fractional, ROB,
or insert) used in AHA journal or supplement
during a 12-month period. For example, a
spread plus a half page counts as three pages;
a half-page spread counts as two pages.
Combination Rates __________________
All space purchased by a parent company and
its subsidiaries in any AHA journal is
combined to determine the earned rate. Space
purchased in the following counts toward the
earned rate in Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and
Vascular Biology:

• Scientific Sessions Abstracts Supplement to
Circulation
• Cardiovascular Surgery Supplement to
Circulation

In addition to the earned black-and-white
rate, the following color charges apply:

Color charges are added for each full or
fractional page on which color appears. For
example, the color charge for a two-page,
four-color spread would be $3660 ($1830 x
2); the color charge for a five-color page plus
a half page matched color would be $3770
($2800 + $970). There is no charge for bleeds.

Black & White page rate x number of
pages. All inserts subject to a $250.00
production fee (non-commissionable).
Premium Positions __________________
To calculate page total, please add the
percentage of premium to black-and-white
page rate, plus any color charges that may
apply.
