Popcorn Balls – Mrs. Mae Atchley
3 quarts popped corn
⅓ cup water
⅓ cup white corn syrup
1 cup sugar
¼ cup butter
½ teaspoon vanilla
Boil sugar, water, syrup, butter and a pinch of salt together until it spins a long thread.
Add vanilla and pour over popcorn. Make into balls. Easy for trick-or-treaters.
This old time favorite should bring back fond memories for children of the 50’s and 60’s
who grew up before the time of so many pre-packaged treats!
