COURSE DESCRIPTION
Extremities in the Carolinas: Fingers to Nose/Knees to Toes is an advanced course for
physician assistants who treat general orthopedic conditions of the extremities in adults
and children. This course teaches the principles and techniques for management of
extremity injury and current concepts in surgical and non-surgical management.
COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
• Examine and apply basic scientific information and technical skills in extremity surgery
• Update knowledge regarding current evaluation and treatment of injuries to
the upper & lower extremities
• Review current practice management including proper coding, reimbursement,
and state/national healthcare trends
• Develop new clinical and technical skills to improve delivery of healthcare to
patients with upper and/or lower extremity injuries
INTENDED AUDIENCE
Physician Assistants who practice in general orthopedics.
CREDIT
This program is provided by Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery. This
program was planned in accordance with AAPA’s CME Standards for Live Programs
and Commercial Support of Live Programs.
This Program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference
organizers plan to request 18.5 hours of AAPA Category I
CME Credit and 5 hours of Self Assessment Credit from
the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Total number of approved
credits yet to be determined. Physician Assistants should claim only
those hours spent participating in the CME activity.

Refunds will be subject to a non-refundable $75 processing fee. Requests for refunds must
be received in writing in the PAOS office by April 20, 2017. NO REFUNDS WILL BE
ISSUED AFTER APRIL 20, 2017. Refunds will not be made for no-shows.
PAOS is not responsible for expenses incurred by an individual who is not confirmed
and for whom space is not available at the meeting. Cost incurred by the registrant,
such as airfare or hotel fees or penalties are the responsibility of the registrant.
