4th Grade Researches
Endangered Animals
environment, adaptations, and why they
are endangered. After they finish their
diorama they will have to get pictures of

The 4th Grade has been working hard to
research endangered animal species
across the globe, and come up with
ideas to help them. Each team of
students or one student had to pick an
endangered animal that needs help from
a website that they trust. After they pick
their animal they start on a Google
slideshow about their animal,
researching how their animal lives, looks
like, diet, adaptations, and so on….
After they finish their slideshow and get
shoebox materials they will start to
make a diorama of their animal's
their animal and put them on a huge
map that some of the students drew
from the projector, to show where that
animal naturally lives in the world. On
October 20th, the 4th grade will visit the
Wildlife Learning Center in Sylmar to
learn more about how we can all help
endangered animals.
VOCAB WORD OF THE MONTH
Endemic​ - belonging naturally to a certain
country or region of a country.
Example - Ring-tailed lemurs are​ endemic
to Madagascar.

With the election of the President only 3
weeks away, we are all wondering who will
be voted into office. Here is a run-down
of the nominees from the two top political
parties.
Republican Nominee: Donald Trump
Donald Trump, the self-called “good
businessman”, who lost 500,000 bucks in
a single year, got a “small loan” of a
million dollars from his dad and made a
fortune in real estate.
Democratic Nominee: Hillary Cl​inton
Hillary Clinton is the first woman
nominated by a major Party for the
POTUS. In case you don’t know what that
stands for, it’s ​P​resident ​Of​ ​T​he U
​ ​nited
S​tates. She was also the Secretary of
State in the Obama administration.
Here’s where they stand on some issues.
The Candidates’ Positions/Platform:
Hillary Clinton​: Making sure corporations
pay fair taxes. How to beat ISIS: 1. Take
out ISIS’s stronghold in Iraq and Syria.
Upgrade cybersecurity in an honorable
way 2. Dismantle the global terror
network 3.Harden our defenses at home
and prevent attacks.
Donald Trump​: Make Nato PAY. Secret
plan to defeat Isis. Tax Plan:
1. Ensure the rich will pay their fair share,
but no one will pay too much. 2. Create
new jobs. Cybersecurity: 1. Create a
Cyber Review Team to prevent hackers
from stealing American information, i.e. a
Cyber Attack. National Defense: Make
our military very strong.

How to Build a Minecraft House

1.Get any kind of block that you want
2. Start to build as high as you want
3. Then you can build the roof
4. Build bedrooms inside the house
5. Get beds and torches to put inside the
house
6.Put windows inside the house so there is
more light
7. You can get a wolf and make it a dog as
a pet
8. To make the wolf a dog you need raw
beef
9.Press on the wolf with the beef. Then it
will become your pet.
10. You can get flowers and put them in
front of your hose to make it pretty

who started it, and who owns it? Well, here
it is . . . . .”​YouTube is an American
video-sharing website headquartered in
San Bruno, California, United States. The
service was created by three former
PayPal employees in February 2005. In
November 2006, it was bought by Google
for $1.65 billion.”
Here you have three famous Youtubers,
that is people who make lots of YouTube

They are amazing
gamers. I am going to tell you what
they do, what they play, if they have
any other channels on youtube, and if
they have pets.
Popularmmos is a husband and
wife. They play lunk block races, maps,
mods and so much more. They also
have a channel called Gaming with Jen,
the wife. and the husband’s name is
Pat. They have a cat named Cloud, who
is so cute. They have so many videos
on Cloud, which are so funny. You
should watch their lucky block races,
because they are so funny.

Captainsparklez is so entertaining.
He has another channel called
Captainsparklez 2. He does not have a
pet and he plays Hunger Games and
other games. I like watching him a lot
because he is really funny.
Dantdm has 3 pet pugs. He is
married to a girl named Jemma. He
plays Minecraft, lucky blocks, and
much more. He has a dog in Minecraft
named Mrim and a villager named
Trayaurus. He is super funny.
These are youtubers that I
enjoy watching.. They are super
funny, cool, and they appreciate their
subscribers.

chickens wither skeleton, and a lot
more . Now blocks. There are so many
blocks so I will go through the most
useful ones: obsidian, all tree oke,
stone, soul sand, sand ,diamond block,
gold block and grass block. Minecraft
is an endless game. It is so much fun
to play on the ipad and phone and
computer. It is amazing. When you
download Minecraft. you can build
Disneyland ,houses, pools, arcades log
cabins, gardens and movie theaters.
Maybe make a town with all this stuff
in it. Hope you like it.
What is Minecraft?

Minecraft is a game about
crafting and imagination and friends
well when you are in multi player .
There are many worlds. These are a
few of them. Regular - there are
small beaches in the world and mini
hills and big ones where you can build
things. Nether - the nether is a small
or big place. There is a castle made
out of soul blocks but only sometimes.
You can spawn there. Also there are
lots of mobs. I will tell you what that
is later. End - the end is a place where
there’s a mob called enderman and you
have to fight the enderdragon and
there is a surprise. You will have to
wait to find out. Mobs are little eggs

Google’s birthday was on Sept. 27th! The
company turned 18 years old on that day! ​The
idea for Google began in 1996 as a research
project at Stanford University. Two Stanford
students, Sergey Brin and Larry Page decided
to construct their hard drive storage tower out
of Legos. This allowed them to expand the
storage capacity easily, rather than pay for
more expensive structures as their project
grew. Page and Brin are ranked 12th and 13th
on Forbes' list of the richest people in the
world, with net worths of $35.2billion and
$34.4billion respectively. It pays to be creative!

Did you know ​ . . .Dogs can sense
sadness in humans and will often try to
make their owners happier by initiating
cuddling.
also known as the Axolotl and Mexican water
monster is an endangered species. It comes in
different colors. Even though The Mexican
walking fish is called a fish it is actually an
amphibian. They live in a lake called lake XochI
Miclo in Mexico City. They eat small fish and
anything that they can fit in their mouth! The
Mexican Walking Fish is seriously endangered
due to habitat destruction and water pollution.

fish eat young axolotl. ​They haven't evolved in
the same environment, so they don't have good
defense mechanisms against them.
HELP US SAVE THE AXOLOTL!!!
Here are 3 ways you can help the axolotl and
other sea animals:
#1​ ​Next time you go to the beach pick-up the litter
you can see and reach in the water
#2​ Spread the word about the axolotl and get
people to ask them about their ideas for saving
them (if you want, write them down). If you have
have an idea you think has a chance in
succeeding write a letter to a scientist who has
spent their whole entire job studying marine
animals about your idea. Maybe they will try it
and it will work!!!!!!!
#3​ Raise money for the axolotl by selling
lemonade or making a bake sale. Donate the
money you made to a charity that helps
endangered animals

The African Savanna is a beautiful
place, but think carefully before
you actually go there.
The savanna is a hot and dry place and
has many vicious animals like hyenas,
cheetahs and of course the king of
beasts, the African Lion. All of these
animals are important to the ecosystem
of the African savannah.
If a grass eater dies out there won't
be any food for the meat eaters like
Lions and Hyenas.All the meat eaters eat
the plant eaters and the plant eaters eat
the plants like trees and grass. The
predators like Leopards and Cheetahs
eat their prey like Zebra and Antelopes.
All of the food that they eat leads them
to a healthy life. From the smallest
Herbivore to the Biggest Carnivore they
all mean something to each other.

Do you like plants? Then you will
like this article. I will be showing you some
of my plants that I grew in my backyard.
Here are the chili plants.
and harvest lettuce is in January, February,
March and December. Other months of the
year are okay, but those months are the
best times for lettuce. The darker the lettuce
leafs are, the more nutritious the lettuces
are. There are tons off different kinds of
lettuce so I'll only list a few. There’s
Crisphead, Butterhead, Cos or Romaine
and Looseleaf. Lettuce is 95% water so you
can open up a lettuce farm and when there
are heat waves, you can eat lettuce while
waiting for water!!
Bamboo is a very common food for a
lot of animals like a panda. If you go to the
zoo you can go to the panda exhibit and
maybe you will be able to see pandas
eating. There are about 1,500 kinds of
species of bamboo that can be found in
Asia, Australia, North and South America,
and Sub-Saharan Africa. Bamboo is a type
of flower that belongs to the family Poaceae
(grasses). Bamboo can grow at different

lettuce. Lettuce is really easy to grow. All
you need is a lettuce that you've finished
and put it in water and soil. Lettuce is also

I have a great book suggestion for you. It is

named Boots. He wanted to try out for
Football. He met a person named Coach
Higgins. Boots was left guard and
quarterback. His team was the Falcons.

think you will like it. It’s a lovely book
about a horse who is very handsome. He
was born in a meadow. He grew up with

Where do artists get their ideas?
Artists read many books to get ideas. They
also get lots of ideas from the world around
them. Artists do not only use paint. They
use pencils, pens, markers,and lots of
different materials. They can even use a
banana and things they find. To be an
artist, all you have to do is be creative.
Then you can express yourself with art!
You can be an artist for Minecraft!! Art is
also about being messy. We asked Ms. Dror
what she thinks about art and she said,
“Art makes you think. It makes you stop
and say, “That’s beautiful” or “That’s
really interesting.”
