Gather the information and complete the product registration form.

Locate the handset and plug it into
a 120V outlet for a
minimum of 1 hour before
calling for registration.
You need to be at the sign
when you call.

Note:
If you have multiple signs each
sign will need to be registered
individually. The sign being
registered will need to be turned
on while all other signs must be
off. This process will need
repeated for each sign.
If the handset displays POS: Disabled
The handset POS functionality has not been
enabled. If you do not wish to enable this
functionality press the
key twice
and proceed to step 1l.
To purchase this functionality you will need
to call 614-388-8866 option #3
After the POS function has been purchased, you will be shipped a
special POS cable and instructions. Upon reciept of the cable you
will need to return to the Installer Setup Mode 5 screen by repeating
steps 1c to 1h.

Call 614-388-8866 option #1 for service to get your permanent registration
code. Using the keypad enter the registration code then press the
key to save.
For testing or temporary use you can use the code: 9999999999
If you use the temporary code and the sign looses power the sign will also
loose communication with the handset and need to be registered again.
If the sign registration number does not appear on this screen power cycle
the sign (the sign only broadcast its registration number for 5 minutes)
If you entered the temporary code 9999999999 on the previous screen and
the site ID is 999999 then select Yes using the
key then press
If you received your permanent registration number
and entered the number while on the Installer
Setup Mode 2 screen the number shown in the
Site ID, verified by the Able Technician will
reflect the registration was entered correctly.
If the SiteID is correct select the Yes
by pressing the
key then the
key. If the ID is incorrect select No then the
key and you will return to step 1e.

If you encounter poor signal strength try moving the handset to another location.
Locating the handset in the line of sight with the sign is the best practice.
To prevent decreased signal strength avoid locating the handset behind metal
surfaces and make sure the antenna does not come in contact with metal.
Radio waves have the ability to bend around and bounce off objects
(buildings, trucks, cars etc.)
Radio waves can also pass through most common building products
(glass, wood, tile, masonry, drywall).
Monitor the signal strength for a few minutes non stationary objects may move
potentially decreasing or increasing signal strength.

2 prices per grade (otherwise 8 grades 1 price per grade).

Inspect all the pricelines on both sides of the sign
If any of the LED's are out document the position
(grade, digit, row, column and quantity)
The sign will now display the jumper settings and voltage applied to
each priceline. Verify the settings are correct.

Note: If a priceline digit is faulting an E code will also apear on this screen
The error will only show on the pricelines that have
a faulting digit.

Upon completion of the diagnostics.
If the Able Price Alternator is activated you will need to power cycle the
sign to initiate the function.
Plug the handset back into a 120v outlet. This will keep the handset
charged and in the case the POS is activated the handset will be in
constant communication with the sign.
Locate the handset away from water and excessive heat or cold.
