Engage has had the privilege of partnering with IberoAmerican
Ministries and the leaders of its Ecuadorian churches for more
than 20 years. IAM’s focus is one of church planting as the
organization works with teams of missionaries and national
pastors to establish a movement of reproducing churches.
IAM has planted churches in Chile, Ecuador, Peru and is
in the process of sending out teams to North Africa, Iraq,
Afghanistan and other places in the Middle East. One of these
churches is in El Recreo, Ecuador, where you will spend time
learning and serving.
Joining your team will be a group of Christian students from
another IAM church in Chile (who are also on their annual
overseas mission experience). Together you will assist and
encourage Ecuadorian church plants both in urban and rural
settings. You will be involved in outreach and evangelism
through street ministry, sports ministry and childrens ministry.
In several different locations you will join forces with the
Chilean and Ecuadorian youth groups to lead Vacation Bible
School so that many children can hear the truth of the Gospel
and how much the Father loves them. If the need is present,
you will also travel to remote villages to help with a variety of
work projects.

INTERESTING FACT
“Ecuador” is Spanish for equator. The country has this name
because the equator runs through it.
