range of fun workshops alongside your park visit to make your trip more educational.
Learning in a context like a theme park and zoo can make a subject more memorable
and engaging for students, so whatever your age range or subject, we can help.
Whether you want to find out more about dinosaurs, animal habitats, the science
around rollercoasters, or how to run and market a successful business; we’re here to
ensure your visit is both fun and educational!

Dinosaur Discovery
Using live reptiles and bio-artefacts to represent
dinosaurs, your pupils will be thoroughly
engaged with this hands-on, fascinating session.
Become a Palaeontologist whilst discovering
the dinosaurs that roamed the earth millions of
years ago. Find out what the different species
liked to eat, how their skin would have felt and
how they moved. We will also perform a mini
dig to unearth some real fossils!

ICT at Drayton Manor
In this fascinating workshop we take students on a journey of
how ICT is used across Drayton Manor Park and Hotel. Find
out about the network that keeps us running, as well as the
essential information systems like our ticket and till system.
Explore website design by looking at our own websites and
how they were created as well as where and what we use
for graphic design. Finally, we will delve into rollercoaster
control systems to see how we keep you safe using ICT on
our range of rides and attractions.

come to you!
We know how difficult it can be to organise a school visit, so instead of worrying about getting here
we can visit you instead!
The majority of our sessions are available as outreach workshops at selected times across the year.
If your school, college or university is within a 20 mile distance from Drayton Manor and you are

our 30 minute wonder workshops, available for all ages!
Meet the Creatures
In this short and lively workshop, your
pupils will meet a range of exotic creatures,
including lizards, snakes and bugs, and
discover amazing facts about them! Pupils
will be able to touch all the animals, and will
also be able to handle some amazing bioartefacts such as hippo teeth, leopard fur
and reindeer antlers, plus much more.
Education
Activity Days
Join the fun during our exclusive out-of-season education
activity days, which are available between November-March even when the theme park is closed! These days are tailor-made
just for your class, where you will be guided for the day by one of
our education officers and have the park all to yourself.
Even though all rides, cafes and gift shops will be closed, you
will have access to a range of fun activities, including interactive
workshops, zoo tours, meet the creature sessions, theme park
detectives, rollercoaster sketching and possibly opening our 4D
cinema for a private viewing just for your school!
Animal Presents
Pupils will get to make a food present for
one of the animals within our fascinating
zoo, such as our meerkats or primates,
and watch them enjoy it too! You will
get exclusive Q&A time to learn much
more about your favourite animal.
Uniformed
Group Experiences
Our education team is now offering exciting new learning experiences for uniformed groups, such as
Beavers, Brownies, Cubs, Scouts and many more. All of our experiences contribute to obtaining badges!

Your group can meet fascinating
animals as well as make food
presents for our resident
Meerkat troop. Whilst watching
the meerkats open your special
gift, you can ask all your burning
questions to find out more.
Come along and learn all about how
our rides work, taking a deeper look
at real ride parts, and of course
experiencing our rides as well.
The day also involves building
challenges with K’nex and is
rounded off by some relaxation
time in our fascinating 15 acre zoo.

Education Open Days
These are available on several dates across the year, and are a
fantastic opportunity for teachers thinking about having an education
session at Drayton Manor to find out more about what we do.
