TROPHIES & PRIZES
The Carr Gate Garden Centre Trophy and Daffodil Society Diploma will be awarded to the
exhibitors with the best entries in the Daffodil classes.
A Daffodil Society Bronze Medal will be awarded for the best bloom in the show.
The Dinsley Trophy will be awarded to the winner of Class 45.
The Wrenthorpe Environmental Society Trophy will be awarded to the best entry in the
Home Produce Section.
The Wrenthorpe Gardening Club Trophy will be awarded to the best entry in the Members
Section, excluding Class 45.
The Secretary’s Trophy will be awarded to the best entry in the Miscellaneous Section.
The Malt Shovel Cup will be awarded to the best entry in the Novices Section.
The Flower Arrangement Trophy, donated by Peter Jones China, will be awarded to the best
entry in the Adult Flower Arrangement Classes.
SPRING FLOWER SHOW
Sunday 2nd April 2017
RULES
1 All exhibits must have been grown or made by the exhibitor who must ensure that they
comply with the schedule and rules of the Show.
2
The judges’ decisions are final in regard to the quality of the exhibits.
3 All complaints or objections must be made to the Show Secretary by 3.00 pm; their
validity will be determined by the Show Committee whose decision shall be final.
4 All entries to the daffodil classes, and to others where possible, to be correctly named
for the benefit of the public.
5
No exhibits or prize cards to be removed from the table before the close of the show.
6
All trophies remain the property of the Gardening Club and are to be held for one year.
7
A ‘Novice’ is anyone who has not won two first prizes at any show in the relevant class.
8 The Gardening Club cannot be responsible for loss or damage to exhibits or exhibitors’
property.
9
Display vases will be available for exhibitors.
10 The Members Section is open only to paid up members of the Wrenthorpe Gardening
Club. Other classes are open to all.
