Learn to Skate Group Lessons
The Creve Coeur Figure Skating Academy is a Learn to Skate
program using U.S. Figure Skating curriculum. Whether you
want to learn to skate or improve your skating skills, our 30
minutes per week lessons are designed with you in mind. The
Creve Coeur Skating Academy offers a chance to cool down this
summer while learning the fundamentals of skating. Classes are
limited and fill quickly…don’t delay, register today!

Cartooning and Animation Camp
Attention all aspiring cartoonists and animators: this is a
stimulating, new camp in cartooning and animation art techniques
plus methods involving humorous illustrations, comic strip,
and comic book design. Students will be introduced to dynamic
anatomy, powerful composition, exciting action scenes, advanced
shading techniques, comic book line techniques and creating
different types of characters for your picture compositions.
Campers will design futuristic spacecraft, wild cars, armored tanks,
and other bizarre vehicles. Students need to bring a spiral white
paper pad, four soft lead pencils, sharpener, ruler, colored pencils,
and different sharpie pens.

Basic Fundamental Drawing Camp
This beginning creative drawing course provides in-depth study
into essential fundamentals of basic sketching and drawing
disciplines. The course introduces use of basic drawing tools
for rendering techniques, design principles, contour line, quick
gesture, proportion, special relationships, and artistic awareness.
Students will learn how to use line quality, light and shadow, create
form, decipher value, observe simplified picture composition, and
perspective. This is a rewarding camp for the artist-to-be. Students
need a spiral white paper pad, four soft led pencils, sharpener,
ruler, colored pencils, colored markers or crayons, and different
point sharpie pens.

Secret Agent Lab Camp
Mad Science Spy Academy will help sharpen special operative skills
as campers learn about the secret world of espionage. The key to
being a great spy is the ability to use science to “sniff” out suspects
and uncover their secrets.

Magical Mystery Camp
What do you get when you combine theater and magic into one
camp? Introducing…Magical Mystery Camp! Kids will learn new
magic tricks each day, often treating their parents to an afternoon
show! Campers will weave tricks into a mystery show, which they
will create and perform for their families the last day of camp! In
learning magic, theater, and improv, kids develop presentation
skills and confidence while having a lot of fun in the process!

Drawing Superheroes and Villians
Attention all future comic book artists! Do you most enjoy
creating and designing fantastic superheroes and villains? Learn
the shortcuts of sketching characters using the mental thought
visualizing technique. Now is the chance to learn the basic
fundamentals for drawing the ultimate characters for dynamic
anatomy, powerful action fight scenes, fantastic spaceships, deadly
monsters, and creepy mutants. Campers will learn powerful
perspective, shading, inking techniques, and special effects.
Finally, kids will create pretty heroines and design a story plot
theme for their characters. Students need to bring a spiral
white paper drawing pad, four soft lead pencils, sharpener,

Classes focus on basketball fundamentals which ensure success
at every level. The weekly one-hour skills classes are energetic,

house seem like a big playroom for the kids? It’s time to reclaim
control of your home! In this informative class, learn tips and
tricks on ways to corral toys, what to keep and what to get rid of,
new ideas for outgrown or outdated items, and how to recapture
adult living spaces within your home. Registration required by

How to Survive and Succeed at Middle School
Middle school is full of new tasks and priorities, and can be
completely overwhelming unless you know some key fundamental
organizing skills. In this fun class, learn tips and tricks on how to
keep track of paperwork, use a planner to manage time effectively,
organize a backpack and locker, and create a super study zone at
home. Start the school year off right by learning how to carry less
stuff, get more done, and have more time for fun! Registration

Photo-Journaling Workshop for Girls, Community
Center Meeting Room 2, 300 N. New Ballas Road
This workshop focuses on using fun self-portraits to increase
awareness of internal positive qualities. This is not a photography
class and girls do not need a camera; portrait-taking equipment
will be supplied. Girls should bring a sack lunch, drink and copy
of a childhood photo. Activities will include a portrait session,
creative writing, art and collage (depending on the weather, some
activities may be outdoors).

Student
This course is for students who fall on the ADHD/Asperger’s
diagnostic spectrum. A parent or adult caregiver must accompany
the student. Projects include various art media, including drawing,
painting, various types of mosaics, beading, oil pastels, 3D
materials, and collage. Participating students should be able to
follow directions and stay on task, individually or with the aid of a
caregiver, and be able to work with common art materials.

Art for Recreation and Enjoyment - Women
Supporting Women
This is a supportive art program for women experiencing transition
in their lives—divorce, job loss and career changes, empty nest, or
recovery from major illness. While doing collage work, drawing,
art journaling, and painting, participants will focus on mutual
support and stress reduction. No previous art experience necessary.

Art for Recreation and Enjoyment - Older Adult/
Caregiver
This course is a recreational art class for seniors, and is targeted
for those who might be experiencing mild to moderate memory
loss. A caregiver must accompany the participant to class each
week and participate with the student in the lesson. This course
provides cognitive stimulation, memory work, manual dexterity
skill maintenance, and social interaction for seniors who may
be starting to find it difficult to participate in regular classes and
activities either due to memory deficits, or mild loss of motor
function. Participants should be able to follow directions with the
aid of their caregivers.

purpose, the terminology, step by step instruction and explanation,
and how you will benefit from it. Most importantly you will learn
that ANYONE can do yoga: you just need to be willing!

Boot Camp
This fitness boot camp class is your chance to improve your fitness
level. The classes are designed to integrate tough workouts with
the support and motivation of a team. Each class format will
be different and activities will be challenging. Examples of class
activities would include lunges, pushups, sprints, crunches, planks,
and dips. Classes include cardio days, lower body days, upper body
days, and total body days. Competition is encouraged and trying
your best is expected. The exercises push everyone on their own
level. Join us to achieve your fitness and fat loss goals!

Zumba Dance Fitness
This workout mixes body sculpting movements
with dance steps derived from cumbia,
merengue, salsa, reggaeton, hip hop, mambo,
rumba, flamenco, calypso and Salsaton. The
routines feature aerobic interval training with a
combination of fast and slow rhythms. It targets
areas such as the glutes, legs, arms, abdominals, and the heart. A
Zumba class is typically not formulaic in that instructors often add

Somewhere in Time…
This series for seniors will engage young-at-heart
audiences and bring back memories of a time
gone by. A delightful hour of Hollywood trivia is
combined with a presentation of “Old Hollywood”
movie posters, film clips and personal tributes to
